Faithbooking

In the spirit of Faith Sisters, I have created another digital layout using free downloads from the Faith Sisters website.

I have been scrapbooking for about 11 years. My kids have been notebooking for about 7 years for homeschool. I just discovered faithbooking. My friend told me that she wanted to start scrapbooking her faith and that she'd purchased a book called "Scrapbook Your Faith." That was the first time I'd heard about faithbooking. Basically, it just means to scrapbook about your faith. Another friend told me about a website devoted to scrapbooking your faith, called Faith Sisters. I decided to check them out a few weeks ago. What an awesome site!

They are currently running a challenge for 2008, called Scripture Challenge. Each week you are given a word and a piece of scripture to print (available for free from their store). You may also search out your own scripture if you choose. The point is to make it meaningful to you. The object is to scrapbook the word/scripture, either by making a scripture notebook or some sort of scrapbook page or altered media like trading cards. When the year is finished you will have an amazing collection of inspiring scripture. The first two words for January are Faith and Kindness.

I plan to alter an old CTMH 6x6 album gathering dust on my shelves and make a page for each word. I would like to include photos and/or journaling. This will be a wonderful way to grow my faith and search my Bible for scripture that has special meaning for me. And what a faith legacy to leave behind!
