Challenges for you...

As you can probably tell by now, I'm a DT member for a number of challenge blogs and sites, so I thought I'd share a few of the recent challenges that I worked on.

This first one is the 365 Cards Sketchy Sunday challenge. Go visit the site to see the sketch and what the DT did with it. I rotated the sketch and really went to town with my distress inks and stamps! (Scroll down to my post from the other day to see more of my Tim Holtz inspired work.)

I love the Close to My Heart clock stamps, and the greeting. The background is a Stampin' Up stamp, and I don't know for sure about the fern. It's pretty old. I used the Tim Holtz technique I talked about before to ink up the papers. I also used a Cuttlebug Folder to emboss the card (Diamonds in the Rough). I even found use for some of the yummy Dew Drops that Hailey Jo (CropStop) always sends me! And see if you can guess how long those fibers have been in my stash!

The next card is Sketch #49 from Triple the Sketch. I love this sketch! (If you want to see the sketch, visit the blog.) The paper I used was in a goodie bag that Pam, from 365 Cards sent me. I think it is MME, but there is also some old Daisy D's and K&Co on there, that I rescued from my scrap bag. I also used some recycled ribbon on this card. The stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Here are a couple of shots of the hand-made flowers. The small one is made with a Stampin' Up punch and the larger one is made from circles (Spellbinders Nestabilities).

This last project is a digital page I made for a Faith Sisters challenge. It was my first time using a pre-made page template! I just dropped in the photos, scripture title, and journaling. And TA-DA finished page. The template was a freebie that I downloaded from the FS site. (And, see when I say I never change, I mean I never change...same hair-do and everything! The 2009 photo was taken in January when I was on a girls' retreat. My BFF and I were goofing around and she snapped that photo. LOL)

My journaling here talks about my battle with migraine headaches. I have suffered for over 35 years and it's one of those "thorns" that I pray about daily. I used 2 Corinthians 12:9 for my layout.

I only have 2 more challenges for Faith Sisters, and then my term is up! But I still plan to keep up with the "His Holy Name" challenge. If you are interested in some really fun challenges (faith-based and not), please visit the site!

Hope you enjoyed visiting. I'll have a few more things to show you tomorrow!
