Two Lovlies for Monday

I have two projects to show you today. First is my Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs project from last Friday. I forgot about it, poor, sad thing! If you remember last week I made a very girly acrylic tag. Well this week, I made a boy tag to match.

This was a lot of fun. I went through my stash looking for boyish stuff, and I found some good things. However, nothing was what I really wanted, except this HUGE Daisy D's ticket, which is from their older Christmas line! So...I made stuff!

I made the pinwheel from some Daisy D's paper and the hat from a page torn from an old textbook. (Relax, I did NOT tear a page out of the kids' school books! Honest!)

The background is adhesive backed fabric from Making Memories. I purchased this at least 6 years ago! And never opened the package! I am a terrible hoarder!

The next project is the card for my 365 Cards Monday DT spot. The challenge for today was to make a card that somehow conveyed ALL FOUR seasons. I knew I wanted to use either this stamp set or my trees set. This one ruled the day!

I colored with my Stampin' Up markers again. I am still amazed at how great they work considering they are nearly 8 years old. The sentiment is a Unity stamp. Love their stuff!

Here you can see the dimension, and my punched border. This card did not turn out like my original vision...the squares were too big...but I do like the finished product. Especially that little scrap of Tinkering Ink paper. (Can you tell I've been in my odd and unwanted paper stash this weekend?!)

  2. Thanks Rose. I am not sure I'll have any time to play this week either. Dh is on vacation all week and we have family stuff planned. I did not get the challenges done early (the DT gets to have them early, which is how I'm able to play along sometimes....yeah, that's cheating too!) Anyway, there may not be any extra cards from me this week. I know, y'all are soooooo sad!

? last week, I think, you used an iris stamp that you mentioned was from SU and came with 2 or3 other flowers, do you happen to remember the name of that set, I really love it and can't seem to find it, when you get a chance I'd love to know.

    Thanks for all your inspiration.
