Sunday and Paper Popsicles Week

I have two cards to show you today. The first is my CropStop Embossing project for last Friday. I've not been feeling well, so am late getting this one posted! I keep praying I'm getting to the END of this cold and migraine situation! I was feeling better on Friday, but Saturday I was in the pits again. Let's all pray for me to have a good crafty week, ok?!

Now, on to the cards! I used the Cuttlebug Just My Type border embossing folder. This set has 4 border folders included, and I used the one with the floral design.

The card is 5x5, my favorite size to make! It's like a mini scrapbook page! The printed paper is Creative Imaginations. I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch. CropStop carries a huge amount of EK Success and Martha Stewart punches.

I stamped the Papertrey Ink image onto white cardstock, then colored it with colored pencils. I use plain old Crayola pencils! I know the paper is holly and the stamp is mistletoe, but who cares?! This stamp set is the new 2009 holiday tag set from PTI and I just got my hands on it! You can see, I used my trusty Spellbinders Nestie circles again! The flip side of the Creative Imaginations paper is green, so made a nice mat for my image.

I stamped the greeting (from the same set) and used a tag punch to cut it out. I also used my new PTI vintage buttons for an accent. I stacked two and then added a pearl. I love the look! I hope you will drop by the CropStop message board and see all the creations. There is a large design team and many amazing projects to spark your interest!

Next up is the 365 Cards Sketchy Sunday card! We have a sponsor this week - Paper Popsicles! Here is the sketch:I was given the Wreath digital stamp to work with. The file is a PDF so I could make it any size I wanted in Photoshop. The size I chose was sort of big for the sketch, but I needed it big enough to color! So I had to take some liberties with the sketch, and I also flipped the sketch.

The card is 5x7. I don't think I ever make this size! So this is a first for me. I embossed the cardstock with a Cuttlebug folder (Victoria). I am not sure about the paper scrap...Foofala maybe. I colored the image with Stampin' Up markers, then "aged" it with some Tim Holtz distress ink.

I did some paper piercing on the corners. The greeting stamp is Hampton Arts. I also used some green tulle and gingham ribbon, and a Papertrey Ink button. I really enjoyed playing with the digi stamp.

Check back tomorrow for my Monday 365 Cards Challenge. It's out of my comfort zone!
