365 Cards Day 296

For the Monday Challenge at 365 Cards (Day 296) we are to make a wreath. I decided to make my wreath with punch art. I used to do a lot of this sort of thing a long time ago. It's clear to me why I stopped...fooling with all those little bits and all that glue...not so fun with my older eyes! But I did get to play with my brand new Martha Stewart branch punch. I have looked the world over for that punch and finally found one at Walmart. When I was supposed to be buying groceries! (sshhhhh)

Click on the photos for a larger view. It's hard to see all the tiny bits in these small photos.

I cut a circle with my Nesties, then built the wreath on top of it. I used the following punches: leaf, branch, snowflake, swirl, star, cross, ribbon. I stamped the Studio G sentiment in the center.

The red paper is Basic Grey. The green paper had no marking on it as to who made it. It's very pretty and if anyone knows the manufacturer...let me know. The pearls are Recollections. I think I got the red ric-rac at the LSS.

I'll be back tomorrow with the Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday challenge.

ETA: I also played in the Practical Scrappers challenge for this week - anything Christmas. And this is one card that sure uses SCRAPS!

  12. I used to make miniature bouquets with all those teeny tiny punches- I know how tedious it is, but your end result is fantastic!
