Grab a Sketch!

It's no secret that I love sketches. I modify them, flip them rotate them, turn them inside out. But I love 'em. Sometimes I use other people's sketches and sometimes I draw my own. I even make them in Photoshop! And it's a good thing because...I am the new Tuesday Sketch Challenge Hostess at Christian Paper Crafts! Starting December 8th (or possibly the 15th) I will be posting a sketch each Tuesday morning to CPC and also here on my blog! CPC has a gallery where you can upload your work if you so choose. So, stop by and see the sketches and my samples. (You can see them here too, but I hope you will think about joining the wonderful Christian community at CPC!)

Now, because I love a good sketch, here is a card I made from the CPCST33. You can see it and all the older sketches if you click here.

This card is also my CropStop Friday embossing project. I used the Cuttlebug Snowflakes EF and Pop Culture border folders.

The stamp is Hero Arts. I have a whole set of these Christmas postage images. (See the next card for more.) The paper is from one of those DCWV stacks. It was the perfect combo of blues. And the fun ribbon is from CropStop. Love that swirly ribbon. And those pins...fabric section of Walmart!

This next card was inspired by the sketch at Truly Scrumptious Challenges. There was an added challenge that you had to use sparkly flourishes on your card.

This card is also for these challenges:

365 Cards Day 279 - A Little Wordy - use text for your background
Pile it On - Flowers and Flourishes

I stamped the background with the Stampin' Up French Script stamp. This is still one of my very favorite stamps. The flourish is Prima - I cut it all apart to make it fit my card. Here are more of those yummy Hero Arts postage images. I've had these in my stash for a long time. They are stamps I'll never part with!

The poinsettia 3-D stickers are Jolee's Boutique (yes, I still buy those and enjoy using them!). The little bit of printed paper is Provo Craft.

I hope to have some more sneak peaks of Simple Doodles images either later today or tomorrow morning...so stay tuned!
