CropStop Friday Embossing - Spring Joy

Are you dreaming of spring? Normally, I am here to rub it in that we have BEAUTIFUL weather and you probably have SNOW and FREEZING temperatures. However, we have been having record rainfall the past few days and winds to rival Dorothy's adventures! So, the shoe is on the other foot! Since we all want spring, even those of us in the land of "always summer," here is a spring time card for you.

I made a 5x5 card with Close to My Heart cardstock and designer paper. I embossed the light pink cardstock with the Cuttlebug Allegro embossing folder and gently sanded the embossing to make it stand-out. CTMH paper has a white core, making it perfect for this technique.

I cut two butterflies with the Cuttlebug Butterfly Cut & Emboss set (this set is sold out in the CropStop store at the moment). I embossed the dark pink butterfly and then popped it off the light pink one to add some depth. You will notice that I flipped my butterfly over and used the "backside" of the embossing. I just like that look more, but if you look closely you can tell the printing is backwards! Oh, well!

The little stamp is CTMH. I have a whole bin of these small stamps that are perfect when you need a tiny sentiment. If you don't have any little guys, make some on the computer and trim them out for your cards. Most printers will accept cardstock. Have fun making your own digi sentiments!

I forget where I got the ribbon that I used here. I have a bunch of it in all colors...but have no clue where it came from. Note that the printed paper has been in my stash for a while. I have been hoarding it. (You knew that already!) I seem to have elves who come in at night and restock my paper! Every day I seem to uncover new treasures in my paper racks! And...the mailman elf brought me the new Basic Grey Origins and Sugar Rush 6x6 pads yesterday! Gotta love that elf!

ETA: Practical Scrappers is looking for embossing...so my card works for their challenge, too!

On a side note....96 Followers! Come on people! Let's make it an even 100! My birthday is coming up in a few weeks...what better present than 100 Followers?! Ok, yeah, more scrappy stuff would be better...

    I love it.
We went hiking today in the country side and saw lots of spring flowers. It was so beautiful, so I just might make a spring card too...
