Final MOSD Project...

There are times when we have to do something that, while we know it's for the best, we would rather not do it. Today is one of those times for me. It is with a sad heart that I come to you today to say that I have made the very hard decision to step down from the Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs creative team. I have been with MOSD for 2 years - 2 very fun and fantastic years. I have made some awesome projects, met some amazing ladies, and had some mod fun! But, now it is time for me to move over and move on.

So, here is my final project:

I wanted to make another home decor project because my family loves these little decorative wall hangings! Since Valentine's Day is up next, that's the theme I went for. (My 9 year old told me to get busy with an Easter version! No rest for the wicked!)

I used a 6x8 page from a MOSD Gate Fold album as my base for this wall hanging. I edged it with pink paint and sparkly fluff, then attached a piece of Basic Grey paper. Then I added a scallop page from the MOSD Build-a-Book set, which I also covered with BG paper.

I used white MOSD Stick-Ons letters and numbers to spell out "February 14" and attached some chipboard embellies and a vellum quote to add a bit of romance. The flowers are covered with glitter and bling, perfect for Valentine's Day! I painted the large pink flower with Shimmerz paints! It was messy, but worth it. You cannot see the sparkle well in the photos, but in person, it's pretty fabbie!

I wanted to make sure my project had that "finished" look, so I added large eyelets (Memory Keepers) to the holes I punched with the Crop-a-Dile. Then I added this chocolate ribbon for a hanger.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my project. I will miss my MOSD team and wish them all the best!

Note: I am also entering this project in the All Sorts week 36 challenge - hearts and flowers. And the Crafty Creations challenge #51 - Valentines or Love. And Practical Scrappers who wanted Love projects also.
