Apron Strings Sneak Peeks and Other News

I needed to do two posts today. Forgive me for not getting it together to get this all in the earlier post. I just got so busy last night working on my Graphic 45 entry that I forgot to go back and edit my early post, so here I am posting again.

First up, please note that CropStop is having an ALL DAY CROP this weekend! The Hollywood theme continues this Saturday, March 13th, with our Cropstop online crop, "A Day in Hollywood"! The Creative Team has a fun day planned for you. Stop by the Cropstop forum and register so that you can join in the fun! We will have challenges, tutorials, games, and lots of prizes! I'll be hosting a tutorial that you don't want to miss! My post goes live on the Message Board at 4pm EST.

I will be drawing for my CropStop Blog Hop RAK tomorrow, so stay tuned for that winner-winner!

I have to tell you what the girls at my LSS club did on Tuesday! I go to my club night once a month at Ever After in Vista, CA, and on Tuesday Camille, the owner, surprised me with a "Way to Go" cake! It was a surprise "cake party" to say "way to go" because I made the Graphic 45 DT short list! How sweet is that! The store is very excited because out of the 10 ladies who made the Graphic 45 DT finalist list, two of us are from the San Diego area! The store even blogged about us today. I hope that Tracey and I can pull a win out of the bag! My final entry is ready to be mailed. I just have to photograph it. My camera battery died, naturally, so I won't get to the post office until tomorrow morning. I worked hard on my project, and can only pray for the best outcome! The announcement will be made on April 1st. It's going to be hard to wait!

Enough about all that. On to more Apron String Designs card kit sneak peeks! The kit for March has papers from Scenic Route, Doodlebug, and My Mind's Eye.

For this invitation I mixed the Doodlebug and Scenic Route items. You know I love to mix products from various companies!

The kit comes with some chipboard pieces and some yummy Creative Impressions iridescent blossoms. For a list of all you get in this month's kit, see the supply list on the ASD website.

This next card is all My Mind's Eye paper, plus American Crafts grapefruit puffy Chit Chat accents.

I have to admit, those puffy stickers are not my favorite item to work with, but I figured out how to jazz them up! I added some of the iridescent flowers and a few brads, and ta da! Instant face lift.

The last card for today is also My Mind's Eye. I pulled apart one of the embellishments from the kit to make my own custom heart embellies. Gotta love being a rebel!

The kit comes with step by step directions to every card and project I make with the kit! To see more sneak peeks, come by on Sunday!

I'll see you back here tomorrow with more cards!
