365 Cards Day 43

365 Cards is participating in a week-long blog hop this week, along with Practical Scrappers, The Cuttlebug Spot, Scrap That Poetry, Pile it On, and Sketch Thursdays. Check the 365 Cards blog for details.

To help celebrate, the 365 Cards DT is having White Space challenges all week. And yes, you are correct in thinking that I am super happy...happy that I am only required to do ONE of these challenges! I really, really don't like them. And Pam has once again given me this oval one! She's mean. Just plain mean! The woman has no feeling for my considerable pain. She's been drinking her "special coffee" for so long that it's turned her to the dark side...or in this case...the white side!

The challenge is to use the sketch below, but only put your embellies in the dark areas. Stay out of the white areas.

Here is my card. Oh...you think I cheated right? That I put stuff in the white space?

Oh, but I did NOT cheat! See! I CUT the oval away and only decorated the INSIDE of my card. HA! You can't put stuff in empty space, right?!

Here is the inside. I think I pulled one over on Pam this time! woot woot!

The image is a KLM Designs digi image. I colored the cutie bunny with Copics. I am on my own with the coloring since the Copic class I had planned to attend on Saturday was rescheduled until next month. Drat!

The sentiment stamp is a $1 stamp that I found at Michael's. I traced over the stamped image with a metallic pen.

For all my goofing around, I am not really happy with the card. But I did not want to waste the fabbie image. After I had it all put together I realized I should have embossed the front...but did not want to pull it all apart.

If I seem a bit...on edge...it's because dh is away on business in Asia. It's a long trip and I'm alone with the kids for two weeks. When you homeschool and you are also temporarily a single parent...you tend to get edgy...........{twitch shudder twitch}

  4. LOVE IT!!!! I truly laughed out loud when I saw it!! But as I said to Rose...remember when I said that I wouldn't psychoanalyze you guys? I may be rethinking that given this oppositional pattern of behavior you seem to be engaging in and the crowd you're associating with...all red flags for bigger problems a'coming! Nah, just kidding, you guys rock and I really hope to be like you some day! Thanks for the inspiration!

    Aloha, Kim
