365 Cards Day 50

It's 365 Cards Day 50! The challenge for today is called Digging Deep. For this challenge Pam is asking us to find three things in our stash:

1. Find something you've had for more than a year.
2. Find something that was given to you as gift or you got as part of a swap or RAK.
3. Find something that you forgot you had.

Once you have all three items, make your card!

My something old: Except for the Graphic45 paper and the lace, everything on this card is OLD. The Cosmo Cricket and 7 Gypsies papers have been in my stash for years, and the dictionary pages used for the flower are "way old." I got that dictionary in 1978, which is what it says inside the front cover. My something that was a gift: The Melody Ross glass brads. My friend Jamie gave them to me for my birthday. Plus the lace was in a scrapbooking kit. The something I forgot I had: The Cosmo Paper and the foam stamp for the greeting (see below.) The Cosmo paper is one of those things that I run across from time to time in my stash and every time I say, "Hey, I forgot I had this!"

I did some distressing and inked things up a bit. I chose the image from a sheet of Graphic45 Domestic Goddess paper. This gardening lady reminds me of my mom. So this will be mom's Mother's Day card.

Here is a shot of the glass brad.

And my misted flower.

Have fun shopping your stash!

  7. Gorgeous - and I LOVE the dictionary pages! How clever! (aside from my paper addiction, I'm a bit of a word nerd - I hope you don't mind if I 'steal a page' from your book) ;)
