365 Cards Day 176

365 Cards has another FABBIE sponsor for this week - KLM Designs. They make digi and clear stamps. I was on their DT for a few months and they have some great stuff. Make sure to check them out. They are also having a new DT call, so if you love working with digi and clear stamps, give it a try!

I was given a digi quilt block to design with, plus Pam gave us the Monday Challenge - piecing and piercing. Which means you must have BOTH paper piecing and paper piercing on your card. Let me tell you, by the end of making this card I needed a nap! That was a lot of piecing and piercing!

I used Basic Grey June Bug papers for this quilt card. I cut and pieced all the quilt blocks. Finding the right glue was the biggest hurdle. I ended up using a Tombow glue pen. Which was a GREAT product to use. Once I pieced the card front, I used a sharp pin to pierce around some of the blocks. It's hard to see, but it's there!

The greeting in the center is from SRM Stickers. They were a sponsor for 365 Cards a few months ago and I still have a lot of stickers left! You gotta love generous sponsors! My mom will be so proud of this card. She's a quilter and I've never learned to sew anything. But I think she would like the colors and patterns I chose for this card. I tried to remember some of her "rules" for quilting. I hope I got them right! If not...it's my fault, not hers! I also used some fabbie ribbon that my pal Rose sent to me. What's a card without some ribbon? I had to show off to Rose and tie a luscious bow!!

ETA: I saw that Simon Says has a challenge up on Wed. for paper piecing...so am entering this card.

I'm still on "sabbatical" from most of my other teams right now, but I have more Graphic45 projects to share - things that did not make the blog in June or July, plus a few more CHA projects. Plus, I'll be on the schedule for CropStop on September 1st - doing something with Copics! I might get around to making some scrapbook pages this month...you never know. At any rate, I'm easing back into things, but am still holding off on my LSS teaching endeavor. With my husband starting his internship at church and everything else on my plate, it's just not practical, no matter how much I love doing it. But that means I have more time for my blog (aren't y'all lucky?!) and hopefully more time to devote to some of my ministry ideas. The loss of my brother has prompted me to ask God's leading in my life, and I'm trying to SLOW DOWN and listen!

May you have a blessed week!
