More Tim Holtz Inspiration

I had all my Tim Holtz goodness out the other day and decided to make another project since I was already messy! My friend Lori told me about a challenge on Studio L3, as they are doing the Compendium of Curiosities challenges. Anyway, this week they are doing Blended Batik. So, I made this card.

I used a bit of Basic Grey paper for a background, then dry embossed some cardstock with one of Tim's embossing folders. I rubbed it with distress ink to grunge it up. Then I used a tag for my Blended Batik part of the challenge. I do not have Tim's book yet, so had to try to remember how to do the technique. I think I skipped a few steps, but I still like how the tag turned out.

I used mustard seed, shabby shutters, and peeled paint distress inks. Then I added some of Tim's metal elements and some fibers that have been in my stash for dog's years. I also had a "mistake" tag that I was able to punch a mini tag from, then overstamp a greeting with Staz-On ink. Also, I used some mesh that I got in my LSS kit. I did ink it with the shabby shutters ink, but it's hard to see in the photo.

I'm also entering this card for Simon Says Stamp and Show, who is having a Tim Holtz challenge week.
