A Few Challenges

I confess that I've not really spent much time in my studio this week. I've had a very rough week and had zero mojo. I managed to make two cards yesterday. I had some sketches I wanted to try, plus some new paper burning a hole in the bag...so here are two little cuties for you to check out!

This first one is for the Challenge #8 at Really Reasonable Ribbon. They asked for us to be inspired by a jungle-themed picture - plus you have to use ribbon. I used the sketch at Our Creative Corner for this one. I've not played along there in a long while. They sometimes have a sketch and sometimes have a different challenge. I happened along last week when they posted a new sketch!

At any rate, I used this brand new My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup paper that I purchased last week. It's about the cutest thing ever! I think I grabbed one of every sheet, and it's double sided!

I used some of my hand-made wrinkle ribbon. This time, I did not dye it, but kept it the natural color. All you do, is spray the seam binding with water, crumple it up, and heat set it! Ta da! The greeting stamp on the front is Stampin' Up, punched with a scallop punch.

The inside sentiment is Hero Arts. I love this saying! Too fun for a kids' birthday card.

The second card is for the Taylored Expressions Sketch 128. Which I missed as the new sketch was posted today. My Internet was down most of yesterday afternoon, so I did not get to post! Drat!

I used Girls' Paperie paper. I purchased this when it first came out and have been hoarding it. I think it is perfect for this Crafty Secrets image and "brad buddy stickers"! This card is for my BFF, Sandy, who turned 50 on the 22nd. She has 5 years on me, so.... And - hey hey hey - I got a shout out on the Crafty Secrets Blog for my little Halloween card I made last week. Super cool.

The silly sentiment is from Totally Stampalcious. The hb sentiment is Hero Arts. The yummy green cardstock is American Crafts. Oh, and those sparkly brads came in one of my Apron Strings Designs kits. Speaking of ASD, I'll be designing with the November card kit. It's sure to be fab, so stay tuned!

Note: The Fall Frolic at CropStop is over, but you have until September 30th to post your projects. Click on the links at the top of my blog for details!
