CPC Sketch Tuesday 79

I know that some of you will be very happy when you read this post! I am back on the team at Christian Paper Crafts as the Card Sketch Artist! I'll be creating a sketch for Sketch Tuesday each week. The sketches will have a new color scheme to match the new Christian Paper Crafts Blog and Message Board colors. Below is Sketch #79. I love to make square cards, so this one is in that format.

I followed the sketch pretty closely for my card. (I know, big surprise!)

The paper is from a Basic Grey Pyrus 6x6 pad. The fabbie stamp is from the Papertrey Ink Vintage Picnic set. I stamped onto white paper, then colored the image with Copics. I sponged the background with Ranger Distress Ink. I've been watching some videos online to learn more about coloring with Copics, and I think my study is paying off. (My favorite videos are by Suzanne Dean.)

I used my trusty Spellbinders dies to cut my circles. The mini tag is a Sizzix die.

I decorated the inside a bit with a scrap of the BG paper and another PTI stamp. Is that paper yummy or what?!

Make sure you play along with the sketch. Load your project to the CPC Gallery, using Keyword ST79 so I can see what you make. You never know when I'll get it in my head to pick a RAK winner from those who play along! There are some fun changes taking place at CPC, so make sure you check that out!

Now, for some big news on the local front. I will be doing some in-store designing for Stamping Details in Poway, CA. They will be giving me some fabbie product to work with and I'll share my design boards with you. If you live in the area, make sure you drop by the store and say hello to DiAnn and the girls. They are the sweetest bunch you will ever find!

For some big KIT news...I will be having some new kits at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway, CA. Gena's is the only store to have my kits. If you are not local, you can still order kits as she will ship to you, plus she takes Paypal. I hope to have a new kit or two to her before Thanksgiving! They will be in limited quantities, and if they are like my past kits, will sell out FAST! I will post the information here as soon as the kits are ready!

I want to close with a huge Happy 7th Birthday wish to my nephew, Ethan. I love you, buddy. Hope you have a fantasitc day!
