Graphic45 and Hampton Art Sneaky Peeky

I've been promising you some CHA sneak peeks...and here is the first one!

Right before the holidays, Diane - Graphic45 CEO and designer diva - called me and said, "Girlfriend, how would you like to make some cards?" Ok, that's not exactly what she said. But she did ask me to use the new CHA release Graphic45 paper collections and the matching Hampton Art stamps and make some cards for the folks at Hampton Art. I said, "Duh!" Ok, that's not what I said. I was very professional. Really!

Anyway, Diane sent me the three new paper collections: Once Upon a Springtime, Curtain Call, and Le Cirque, and the matching stamp sets. And said, "Create something!" I created my little heart out and when I sent her the preview photos she said that she wanted to have the Curtain Call samples match the color theme of the papers - meaning black, cream, kraft. She asked if I could make two more cards to replace the two that had color...but to send the cards shown below anyway. So, for my sneak peeks I'll start by showing you the two cards that were the "duds" of the batch!

For this first card I decided to make it pop with some teal. I love teal and black together. I stamped images from the Curtain Call 1 set onto cream and kraft cardstock. I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacy Square die to cut the frame. I pleated the tulle (using double-stick tape) and then attached it to the top of the card. I wanted it to sort of mimic the feathers the lady is wearing.

I am not sure where that silver bookplate came from. I found it hiding in my stash and it was perfect for framing one of the Curtain Call borders. I cut out a ticket using the Tim Holtz ticket die and then stamped the cinema stamp onto the ticket.

I created a fab flower using the Graphic45 flower staples. The pearl brad is from SEI. I also stamped the film reel and fussy cut it out for more decoration.

For the inside, I stamped the peacock feather in Tropical Blue ink (Close to My Heart) and then over-stamped the word art in black. This would make a great birthday card!

I used red for my "pop" color for the next card. Nothing says "hot" like a black and red combo!

I stamped a Curtain Call 3 image, then cut it out with a Spellbinders circle die. I used some silver Ranger Stickles around the edge of the circle.

To create the flower, I made a paper rosette from the paper and the Tim Holtz paper rosette die. Then, I added Graphic45 flower staples on top of the rosette. I trimmed the flower with silver Stickles. To attach the flowers together, I stamped part of an image onto sticky backed canvas (Claudine Hellmuth) and used the Imaginisce i-top tool to create a brad. How cool is that?! Very vintage!

I used some of the ads cut from the papers to create a collage look to finish off the card.

There you have my very first CHA sneaky peeky! I have tons to share, so stay tuned over the next few weeks!
