CropStop Challenge #11

Welcome to CropStop Challenge #11. It's a sketch this week! I hope to see lots of folks playing along at the CropStop Challenge Blog! Sketches are a ton of fun, and you can make a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item, home decor! Whatever you wish. You can also combine the sketch with other challenges! So let's see your work!

I had a blast with this sketch. (Remember, you don't have to put stars on your project. You can replace the stars with flowers, gears, charms, or whatever you wish! Just have fun!)

I have been hoarding some We R Memory Keepers patriotic paper and decided to de-hoard for this card. I embossed the blue panel with the Cuttlebug Stars folder and the smaller strip of dot paper with the Crafts Two Stars folder.

The image is Papertrey Ink, from the Vintage Picnic set. I colored it with Copics and paper pieced the cloth. I stamped a few extra stars, one to decorate the large button. I also found a Statue of Liberty charm to dangle from the twine! How cool is that?!

For something else cool, check out the amazing fun happening at CropStop Challenge Blog in April! They are doing a Spellbinders month! Check out the blog for details on how you can win a set of Spellbinders dies! Woot woot!

I am entering this card into two other challenges: Really Reasonable Ribbon #20 One for the Boys - this patriotic card is perfect for a man's birthday or to say Thank You to someone who is serving or has served our country. And Stampin' Sisters in Christ #80 Use Your Treasures - I used stamps, paper, and a charm that I had hoarded in my "treasure trove," plus I made a patriotic card which honors my father and all of my brothers, who served their country - and those guys are all treasures to me!

I'll be away for a few days at my annual scrappy retreat! I won't have access to my computer or email until Sunday night, but I'll be back next week with some fabbie things...I am sure of it! I'll be in the mountains with 7 of my wonderful and amazing friends! We play for 4 days, eat a ton of junk, and talk until the cows come home! It's a fun time! See ya when I get back!
