Drum Roll, Please.....

I am so happy that I am NOT a nail biter! I'd have nubs for fingers by now! Yes, folks, at long last (ok, so it was just a few days since the DT Call ended....) Graphic45 announced the Top 25 Finalists for the 2011-2012 design team this morning! Normally, the blog posts go live at 8am PT, so I've been hitting REFRESH all morning! Finally, at 10am the post went up! And here are the finalists. That's me at #5, baby!

Wow! Some amazing names on that list! I am beyond excited to have a second chance to be on the team for Graphic45. It's an amazing company to design for, and has the BEST vintage-style papers on the market! I know how hard it is to make a team of this caliber and am so blessed to get a second shot! Congratulations to the rest of the Top 25!

To celebrate the win, I want to show you my record album from CHA. Each DT member had to make a 45 record and album sleeve using the Curtain Call papers. Here is mine.

I have a large circle cutter from EK success, so making the record part was easy. One of my favorite jazz musicians is Louis Armstrong, so I made a Louis-inspired album cover.

Here is my record. The record opens up and is a card.

Mine is not as fancy as some of the ones the other DT members made. I went with realistic with a bit of jazz, rather than go over the top. Which I now regret after I saw all of their fabbie creations!

That big ole bow is May Arts ribbon. It's a sheer cream with gold threads. Fantastic!

Now, I am off to walk around with my head in the clouds for the rest of the day. {Rose, get your pins handy to pop my big balloon head!}
