More Loralie Designs

I wanted to show you the cards I made for my LSS for their March sample board. The gals at Stamping Details (Poway, CA) gave me the Loralie Designs Sassy Stamper to use as the March lady. She's a hoot and a half! (Each month, I make cards with a different Loralie lady.)

I chose to use October Afternoon papers from the Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite lines. I love the slightly shabby/vintage prints of these papers. I made several card sizes this month, starting with this 5x7 version.

For the first card, I colored Sassy with Copics, and paper pieced her shirt. I created pattern on her bags and leggings with a white pen. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set called High Heels.

Check out her pink tote bag! Is that fun or what?! I admit, she was very hard to color and I was close to tears at one point! But, I love how she turned out in the end!

For this A2 size card I paper pieced all of her clothes, headband, and both bags! That was some tiny fussy cutting!

I added some sparkle to her jewelry and stamp hat. My oldest son said this gal looked like an "Aunt Marge." I asked him what did that mean, and he said, "You know...she smells funny and knits you a sweater for your birthday...and one sleeve is a foot longer than the other..." Too funny!

For this card, I went long and tall. Sassy is a large stamp, and it's hard to fit her on an A2 size card...she takes up the whole deal-ee-oh!

This image is 100% colored with Copics. I added some detail with pen. I used the flowers and big brad for her hair, instead of showing the stamp hat.

The last card is 5x5, my favorite size to make!

This image is also colored. I used the hat and flowers from Nettie to show how the stamp sets can be used together. I cut out just a portion of the image, using Spellbinders Nestie dies.

All of the fabbie trims on these cards are from the Stamping Details store. If you are local, stop by and say hello to DiAnn and the girls. And check out all the store samples and classes they offer! All of the sentiments are from Hero Arts.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. I know these gals are not for everyone, but they are fun to color and play with. I have been playing more and more with Copics and plan to become Copic Certified as soon as a class comes to my area, which I think will be in May! I'm pretty excited about that!
