Summer Home Decor from Graphic45

Some of you folks may be winding down your summer fun and getting ready to start school. Some of your children may have already started, like mine. Some of you may still have summer temperatures. For us the hottest months are yet to come as here on the coast we normally get our hottest weather in the fall, when the winds blow from the desert rather than from the water. No matter what phase of summer you are in, I hope you enjoy this wall hanging I created!

I used Spellbinders™ Grand Nestabilities® Labels Twenty-three to create the base for my project. I used the die template to cut several layers of chipboard, then I cut one layer of Graphic45 Le Cirque Bohemian Floral paper to cover the chipboard. The largest label is 8⅜ x 6⅝" and makes a perfect canvas for an altered art piece! (To see a larger view, click on the photo!)

I used more of the Le Cirque papers to create flowers and other elements on the canvas. Center stage are the two bathing beauties from the On the Boardwalk collection!

I love to create my own flowers, and pairing up Spellbinders die templates and Graphic45 paper is a wonderful way to do that! The thickness and texture of the paper is so easy to work with. (For a list of the die templates I used, see the supply list below.)

What says summer more than lazy butterflies? I decorated each butterfly with pearls and the largest one with wire antennae!

The "hot" summer letters are cut from Bazzill cardstock using the Donna's Alphas die set. Very fun!

I hope you still have enough summer mojo to create something before you begin your fall projects! I have one more summer project to show you tomorrow for the Christian Paper Crafts sketch!
