Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #43

Time for a new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon! For Challenge #43, make a monochromatic green themed project, plus ribbon.

I think I told you the other day that green is not one of my "go to" colors. But I am a team player, so I went into my stash and tried again. It helps that I have tons of paper, plus I just purchased some new Copic markers in shades of green! (Copic G40, G43, G46)

I colored 1/2 inch white seam binding with Copic G43. I sprayed the ribbon with water and "crunched" it up to wrinkle it. Since Copic markers are alcohol based, they do not run or bleed when you add water.

To create the ruffles, I placed Scor-tape onto a length of moss green double faced satin ribbon. I folded the ribbon into pleats, making sure to that the Scor-tape stuck to each pleat. I added more Scor-tape to attach the ribbon to the back of the cardstock.

And that's my green creation!

Don't forget to go over to the RRR Blog and link up your project for a chance to win! RRR has two challenges a month! Join in! And check out what the rest of the team is making! Also, RRR is looking for a new DESIGN TEAM! Check out the info HERE.

  1. Hi, Thanks for the inspiration! That's how you do it! A person may not have a "St. Patrick's Day stamp image but still manage to create a fantastic card with green supplies in thier stash!!!
