Altered Film Canister - Graphic 45

This is my second post for today. If you are looking for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge, please scroll down.

I have another Graphic 45 Winter CHA project to share today. One of our assignments was to alter one of the Graphic 45 Staples boxes or tins. I chose to alter the Metal Film Canister.

The metal canister is about 6 1/4 inches around, and about 1 1/4 inches deep. Each canister contains a mini album. I chose to alter only the canister by turning it into room decor.

I used the Graphic 45 Little Darlings Collection to make a decoration for a baby girl's room. This could hang on the wall or even the door knob.

My favorite part is the rose ribbon from American Crafts and the sparkly dove that I found at a local Christmas shop.

This is such a vintage looking piece that I can almost imagine that it really is old! I created the vintage buttons from actual vintage pink buttons and some cream buttons that I found at the craft store.

I used glue to attach the lace to the edge of the canister. Since I did not want to use the canister for storage, I glued the paper over the edge of the lid to create a more seamless look.

I enjoyed using this round "canvas" for a project. It was both fun and challenging to think of a way to use the canister.
