I have a little project for you today...a tray I made for Hampton Art Stamps, to be used in their Michael's Stamp-tember campaign. This is a very simple and easy project, but it is a fun way to display a photo and a few little items on your desk or a shelf.
The little tray is from 7Gypsies and is 6x6 inches.
Place a 4x6 photo into the tray with double-sided tape. I used this photo that my husband took when we were in Paris in 2009. To create the fun letters, ink chipboard letters with Watermark ink and sprinkle them with copper and silver embossing powder. Melt the powder with a heat tool. Then, glue the letters to the bottom of the photo.
For the little windows on the side: Trim flocked paper to fit the tray. Stamp the chandelier image from the 7Gypsies "Things I Love" stamp set using black pigment ink. Allow the ink to dry. Attach the image to the tray.
For the middle window, trim a chipboard ATC to fit the tray. Stamp a butterfly image from the 7Gypsies "Butterflies" stamp set using Mossy pigment ink. Emboss with clear embossing powder. Attach the image to the tray.
For the last window, trim music note paper to fit the tray. Cut a heart from corrugated paper. I used a Spellbinders die. Attach floss to buttons and glue the buttons to heart with adhesive dots. Attach the heart to paper and glue the paper to the tray.
Here is the banner that Michael's created with my artwork. I will be showing you the large tray on September 18th, so stay tuned!
