Publication Brag!

I had a little item published in the March issue of Scrap and Stamp Art that I wanted to share with you. Since the April issue is now out, I feel ok about sharing this.

On page 52 and 53 of the March issue there is a wonderful article by Judi Kauffman about Really Reasonable Ribbon. Some of the RRR design team were asked to make projects for the article, and I was lucky enough to be one of those designers!

We were given a package of ribbon to work with and I received a lovely green and teal ribbon set! I made this altered frame using the ribbons and Graphic 45 Bird Song papers.

Since the article is about Really Reasonable Ribbon and not about individual designers, it only shows this one small shot of the project, so I wanted to share more with you.

I as way out of my comfort zone with this project! I have never worked with the "leaf" ribbon before, plus I was altering a frame, which is not something I do very often. And I was using a paper collection that is very "theme specific"! But, I put on my big girl undies and made something that I love!

I wrapped some teal ribbon around the edges of the frame and then glued the leaf ribbon around the frame to mimic a vine.

I made a bunch of paper roses to tie the project all together!

I love the teal. The ribbon, paper, buttons...everything just clicked together!

The grosgrain ribbon has teal and green in it. I really love mixing ribbon - grosgrain, satin, sheer...all that texture makes me happy!

Thanks for stopping by!
