How About a Challenge?

One of my Inspired by Stamping design team duties is to play in two challenges per month. I get to pick the challenges and the stamps that I want to use. I used to play challenges all the time, but I have been so busy with other DT work that I rarely have time any more! I am so happy to get a chance to play again!

This week I chose to play along in the Seize the Birthday Challenge #14. They have such a fun sketch each week, plus they alternate each week, asking for feminine birthday cards one week and masculine the next. I love the sketches and the idea of making birthday cards all year long.

Here is what I created.

I stamped a sentiment from the Inspired by Stamping Big Wishes II set and cut it out with an oval die template. Easy peasy.

But, as always with me, there is a story! I finished this card and was happily marching down to my "light studio" to take a photo. As I was humming along I was thinking, "Now, remember to load this card to the birthday challenge..." What do you know? I had stamped a NON-birthday sentiment! I had to march right back up to the craft studio and stamp a new sentiment. {Pffftttt}

This is a pretty simple card (for me, at least). But I really like it. The sketch and the lovely sentiment made it very easy to put together. The hardest part was deciding on what paper to use!
