Graphic 45 - Time to Flourish - May

I am sharing the Graphic 45 Time to Flourish May class project sheet with you today. Graphic 45 shared on their blog HERE. Please visit their blog and let them know what you think of this project series!

Each class in this series contains two cards and two tags using the matching monthly papers from Time to Flourish! Click HERE to print your step-by-step directions for these projects! For the May class, we are using the May Flourish and Cut Apart sheets from Time to Flourish, as well as the Cardstock Tags and Pockets. Our Staples item this month is Shabby Chic Metal Key Holes, which come five to a package. The techniques this month are fun folds and pockets!

I have always wanted to try to make a shutter fold card, so this month, I decided that it would be the perfect project for a Mother's Day card! (For those of you not in the monthly classes, you could change this card to be a special birthday card rather than using the Mother's Day theme.) This is such a special type of card fold that it's perfect for those special occasions!

The card is 5 1/2" x 12" when unfolded. Each panel has lovely spring images and sentiments.

When folded for mailing, the card is 5 1/2" x 5".

The second card for this month is an easel card. These are fun and easy to make. I love to have my cards sit on my desk and the easel format makes displaying the card so simple!

When folded, the card is a standard A2 size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"). There is a sweet pocket on the front that holds a tag, but could also hold a gift card.

The inside of the card is decorated so that when displayed in the easel format, the card stands on its own.

The tags this month are the Regular Tag Album size in Kraft. For this tag, I added a pocket on the front.

I added a shallow box onto the top of the tag, which can hold candy, gift cards, or other small gifts.

Sometimes, the tag or card IS the gift!

The second tag is quite simple, with a pocket and tag on the front, set off with a bit of fussy cutting.

Remember, these project sheets are released to the Retail Stores first. The Consumers get to see these on the blog once the stores have time to teach the classes locally. For the seasonal projects that are coming to you "late" just think of it as making your cards and tags for next year! It never hurts to get ahead!

Thanks for stopping by!
