Heartfelt Creations Wednesday - Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! I am working with the Sparkling Poinsettia Collection again today, with the added bonus of the newly released Peacock Paisley Die!

I love pink and green as alternative Christmas colors, and thought the poinsettias looked very classy colored with pink Copics! I added some sparkling peacock feathers, in pink, along with some green vellum leaves and ivory vellum flowers. Pretty in pink!

Create a top-fold 5" x 6" card by trimming dark brown cardstock to 5" x 12" and scoring at 6" on the long side. Cut pink cardstock to 4 7/8" x 5 7/8" and sponge edges with distress ink. Cut decorative paper from the Sparkling Poinsettia Paper Collection to 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" and sponge the edges with distress ink. Attach to the top of the pink panel. Trim striped paper from the Birds and Blooms Paper Collection to 4 3/4" x 3" and sponge edges with distress ink. Attach striped paper to the bottom of the pink panel. Wrap pink velvet trim around the decorative papers' seam. Attach the panel to the card front with foam tape.

Stamp the Sparkling Poinsettia Notes Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock with brown ink. Color the image with markers. Add glitter to the flower centers and to the berries with a glitter pen. Trim the image to approximately 4 1/8" x 5" and sponge the edges with distress ink. Sponge the panel lightly with Cupid pigment ink. Mat image with pink cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/8" and attach panel to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.

Stamp the feather from the Feathery Peacock Cling Stamp Set three times onto Opal White glitter cardstock with pigment ink. Cut out the feathers with the Peacock Paisley Die. Stamp the leaves from the Large Sparkling Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set twice onto green vellum with brown ink. Cut out the leaves with the Large Sparkling Poinsettia Die. Shape the leaves by lightly running a stylus on the back of each leaf. Stamp the flowers from the Birds and Blooms Cling Stamp Set onto ivory vellum with pink pigment ink.

Color the flower centers with marker. Use the Leafy Branch Die to cut out the flowers. Shape the flowers with a stylus and add glitter to each flower center with a glitter pen. Assemble the feathers, leaves, and flowers at the left and right edges of the main image as shown in the sample.

Stamp the sentiment from the Sparkling Poinsettia Candle Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock with brown ink. Use the label strip die from the Cut Mat Create 1B Die to cut out the sentiment. Sponge the edges with pink pigment ink and attach the sentiment to the upper right corner of the main image.

Decorate the inside of the card by cutting pink cardstock to 4 7/8" x 5 7/8" and attaching the panel to the inside of the card. Cut decorative paper from the Sparkling Poinsettia Paper Collection to 4 3/4" x 5 3/4" and sponge the edges with distress ink. Using Orchid pigment ink, stamp the swirl form the Sparkling Poinsettia Swirl Cling Stamp Set onto the lower left corner of the decorative paper. Attach the panel to the top of the pink cardstock.
