Really Reasonable Ribbon October Blog Hop

Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon October Blog HopYou should be coming to my blog from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. (For the complete blog list, scroll to the bottom of the post.) After visiting me, hop over to the spectacular Ginny's Blog next!

At the end of the hop, comment on the RRR Blog post, answering the question listed, for a chance to win the October Ribbon Club Assortment shown below. (The Design Team appreciates your comments, too!)
This month the collection is called Christmas Assortment, and is a traditional collection of red, green, and white. Just seeing these colors together makes me want to sing carols and put up the tree...even if it is 85 degrees outside! {grin}
Everyone knows that I have a HOARD of Christmas papers, right?! Well, I did have to purchase one pad of the NEW Graphic 45 Winter Wonderland paper! It is stunning, and in all the traditional colors that I love. After I saw this image of the reindeer mamma and baby, there was no way I was passing this collection by!

I created a 6" x 5" card, and ended up copying THIS set of cards that I made last year with the St. Nicholas collection (scroll down past the mini album in the post, the cards are at the end).
I only used ONE ribbon from the October Ribbon Club! (I know. I am surprised they keep me on! ha ha ha!) In all honesty, I want the ribbon to do a GREAT job of "tying up" the project. I don't want to add every ribbon in the collection just to add it. I want to make a composed card, so this time, only one ribbon made the cut!
First, I wrapped a length of Forest Green Taffeta Ribbon around the card, which I then topped with one of the word borders from the paper collection. With the rest of the Forest Green Taffeta Ribbon I made a triple-loop bow and attached it to the card. The ribbon was stunning on its own, but I had to add more bling!

I added a few Gold Double Head Stamens, which you can find in the RRR store. The strings are white, but I used a gold pen to color them. Then, I cut apart a floral pick and glued the tiny pine cones and red berries to the card. I also found some very sad looking brown velvet and glitter hydrangea petals in my stash, so I glued them together with a rusty bell to make a flower embellishment for the center of the bow. And finally, I added a metal stocking charm.

(I also want to say that the ribbon is reading a bit blue/green in some of the photos, but in real life it is not so blue! I am not sure why the camera picked it up like that.)
I added one of the ephemera cards to the inside of my card, in place of a stamped sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have fun on the hop!!
