Well, here it is, November! What happened to this year?! Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner! I only have about 6 Christmas cards finished! PANIC!
Not only is today Sketch Tuesday, it's also Election Day in the USA, so I hope you all go out and vote. This is the first year that my oldest son is able to vote. He's very excited, and he has his voter's guide and everything! Since we homeschool, I've always taken the kids with me when I vote. I want them to understand what a privilege it is to be able to vote in free elections...even if sometimes the candidates are not worthy of our votes! (Hey, I live in California!)
Here is Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday #81. It's another square format sketch. (I do have a few that are in a different format, trust me!). Every week I encourage you to change it up! And this week I showed you how! Here is the sketch:
Here is my sample. I created an A2 size card instead of a square one. I colored this adorable Mo's Digital Pencil image with Copics. However, I made her too tall for my square card, so I made an A2 size instead (the card is 5 1/2" tall). I used Cosmo Cricket Delovely papers - just to take a break from fall and Halloween colors. These papers are a tad bright for me, but...I enjoy a challenge!
I think this little darling looks just like my daughter when she was a toddler! She even had a little outfit like this with pink striped leggings! And oh so often, this was the look that Laura gave me! (At age 15, she STILL gives me this look from time to time!)
I thought the "oh dear" sentiment from Clear Art Stamps "Greetings from Wonderland" set was perfect for the card, but it needed something fun for the inside...like this fun sentiment from Inkadinkado called "Friendly Advice."
Remember, when uploading to the gallery at Christian Paper Crafts, please use the Keyword ST81. We can't wait to see your take on the sketch.
I am entering this little cutie in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - punches and/or die cuts
4 Crafty Chicks #9 - punches and/or die cuts
Creative Card Crew - punches
Sandy's Space #1 - I took inspiration from the Home Girl frame - all that pink and patterns!
Isn't she hilarious ! Ah yes, as parents we do know that expression well ... Oh my I do love all the G45 Halloween stuff you did this year Gloria, some really stunning and different work. I don't know how you do it all ! You must be exhausted every single day...
ReplyDeleteThe whole pose and grumpy look of your girl is just precious.
ReplyDeleteOh and, it's such fun to see your take on Home Girl - the pinks, hints of green, the tutu skirt, the off-set Oh dear sentiment !
