I just wanted to let all my readers know that we are fine, here in San Diego. The surge from the tsunami did not hit at low tide as was predicted. They are watching it for high tide, but regardless, my family will be fine. I live 8 miles from the beach, so we are not worried about the water. Right now the ocean is pretty calm at the bay. I guess the worst they are predicting is that any boats tied up at the various harbors could get knocked around a bit. We will be safe, praise God.
My husband is stranded in Singapore. He was still in Malaysia when the earthquake hit, but got a flight to Singapore. However, his flight to Japan was canceled, so he's trying to find another flight back to the states. I think he will make it back within the next 36 hours or so.
Thanks for the calls and emails. I appreciate your concern! I will continue to pray for those folks in the path of this destruction.
