Graphic45 Final Round Projects!

Ok, I had time to catch my breath after the BIG Announcement today, and I thought y'all may like to see the three projects I turned in for the Graphic45 Final Call. I made all brand new items for the Call, so they've not been seen before! Have fun looking. Leave me a comment. I love your comments. They make me a happy scrappy girl!

My first project is a mini album/gift card holder. I love making these. They are an extra-special way to give a gift card! I created my own book out of chipboard and paper. I'll try to have a tutorial for making the book soon.

I used Graphic45 Curtain Call Applause, Top Billing, The Cinema, All that Jazz; Fashionista Tre Chic, En Vogue, Haute Couture; Domestic Goddess Lady of the House; On the Boardwalk Bathing Beauties papers. You can see that all of the paper lines work very well together! The image on the front of the book is a stamp from The Stamp Smith. (I've been a fan of Stamp Smith stamps since the early 1990s - and they are still in business!) I created a flower for her hair using Graphic45 Flower Staples and a big pearl brad.

That yummy silk ribbon is from May Arts. I just purchased a number of yards of this goodness from Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Here is a shot of the little mini all open. I used Rusty Pickle file folders for the inside pages. These are about 4x6 in size. It's too bad you cannot buy these any more. I sure hope Graphic45 adds something like this to their product line!

What girl would not want this cool gift card holder?! Check out the Curtain Call paper! I am blown away every time I use it. See the sparkly chipboard? The chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs. I inked it with black ink, then put black diamond Stickles on it. ooohhhlala.

The is the first page, showing how I used the file folders. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts. I also made good use of my stash of Tim Holtz film strip ribbon!

More girly goodness!

Here is a close-up of the flower. I used a Graphic45 Flower Staple and a Wild Orchid Crafts cherry blossom. I sprayed the whole deal-ee-oh with glimmer mist! The ticket stamp is Papertrey Ink.

I used Spellbinders S5-042 Fleur de Lis Doily Accents die on the left page. So fab! on the right side I used a Graphic45 Tag Staples for the actual gift card holder! Awesome!

My second project is a 12x12 page layout. And I will say now that photos to NOT do this layout justice!

I used Graphic45 Steampunk Debutante Time Flies, Tags; Once Upon a Springtime, Woodland Fantasy; Renaissance Faire Enlightened papers for the layout. Yes, I love to mix my paper lines! It makes me so happy!

I fussy cut a fairy from the Once Upon a Spring time paper and a butterfly from the Steampunk Debutante paper. I did spray the fairy with some mist just to make the tones of color match a bit better.

I used a bit of the Tim Holtz film strip ribbon behind my paper title here, just to give some shine and extra texture.

I slipped one of the postcards from the Springtime paper behind my branch. So yum! I also want to give a shout out to my friend, Chris Schaffer. She took the photo I used for this layout. This is a shot of the forest at Palomar Mountain, about 45 minutes east of where I live, and is from our girls' retreat in 2010. Chris is a wonderful photographer and is always kind to share photos with me...since I am photography challenged!

The branch I used is from Prima, but I had to spray it with some mist to tone it down. You would never know that it had hot pink birds on it! They are now properly vintage!

My last project is a card. (I know, finally, a card!)

I used Graphic45 A Proper Gentleman, Haberdashery; Communique, Typography; Transatlantique, All Aboard papers. Now, why would I just stick to one paper line? {grin}

I fussy cut a bunch of stuff to make a collage. You need to be in awe since I must wear reading glasses now to do anything this detailed. It stinks. Whoever said our 40s are the new 20s was a big fat fibbing fibber!

I used some May Arts twine and Tim Holtz metal gears and charms
. Here is a shot of the inside. I used a tiny bit of Tim Hotlz tissue tape...just a little bit because I am hoarding it!

And that's it! I am so excited for my new year on the Graphic45 Team. A shout out to my new teamies, and my Aussie pal Jane, who also made it back from the 2010 team! {Hiya, Jane!} I'm off to rest my big, fat, dizzy, balloon head! {Rose, get out your pins!}

  15. Gloria- Oh my gosh, I want the tutorial on that gift card holder for sure. That page is gorgeous and I can only imagine what it looks like IRL. And that card, breathtakingly masculine and vintage. All 3 projects are gorgeous.
    I am trying to find projects made w/ the new blossom and rose set, do you know if there is a gallery somewhere that you can easily find the SB ideas (the SB blog doesn't let you search by name)
