ReplyDeleteI love your blog. You're very creative.
ReplyDeleteWith financial strains being a part of this holiday season, I love the fact that I have the knack, if you will, to craft well enough to still give wonderful gifts to my friends and family for Christmas without feeling like I should've done more as I know I've put alot more into their gift than if I would've bought something.
Thanks for the inspiration

You are on my blog roll and I check out all of your new projects as I am a big fan of both Spellbinders and Graphics 45. Well 500 followers is some feat. I'll be happy at 100. Congrats my friend. This year I am enjoying making mini albums to give to neighbors and co-workers... was a little nervous at first because I only did cards, but I've finished 4and learning something new and different with each one.

ReplyDeleteIt means so much to me to show my love in to the cards and presents I make each year.
ReplyDeleteI love making gifts for people who love unique and personal keepsakes. I would rather receive a gift that someone has crafted than a gift that they stressesd about and rushed to buy.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying reading your blog!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Kathy

I like making unique things for us and others. They can be tailored as wished with little issue which is always a great thing. And, of course, it gives me an excuse to tell my husband, "But I HAVE to make this for the mantle/door/your mother/my parents/etc/etc/etc. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats for you coz achieving 500 followers. And about crafting, I love crafting for the holidays. It keeps me up with the trends and fads without spending so much money. ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas season craft has to be making ornaments. Over the years, I have made so many different types I doubt I can remember them all.
I saw Smooches in that pizza box. Yum-meee. I haven't been able to justify buying them. sniff, sniff - losing one's job changes priorities. sigh.
what a wonderful box full of stuffs. i like sipping hot chocolate while i make cards and work on other projects. thank you for the opportunity to win.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! What an awesome box of goodies!!! Thanks so much for the chance to win. What I like best about crafting for the holidays is the chance to reflect over all those important people in your life and taking the time in making something special for them that they will love, enjoy and cherish. With so much competition out there for commercial 'gifts' I still think there is nothing better than a gift made with love. I hope your holidays are special! :-)
ReplyDeleteBecause I am crafting gifts at this time of year my favorite thing is to see the recipient's expression when they see what I have made them. Good feelings are felt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great goodi-bag!! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Finland.
The thing I love most about crafting for the holidays is that warm fuzzy feeling you get inside. You just feel happy and useful! There's a feeling of joy, of love for friends and family as you make cards and gifts for them.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gloria, for this wonderful giveaway!
I'm new to scrapbooking and paper crafting.. The best I feel about crafting is, itz a way to put the women in me into my craft.. I feel really great when I can use all the scrap into a beautiful creation..
ReplyDeleteThanks for this wonderful chance to win this amazing giveaway..
Really wish to be the lucky one.. :)
I've always love making personal things for my family and friends to enjoy. Now, it's just that more special because my 5 yr old granddaughter is loving crafting also.

OKAYEEE so I can see your shocked its not the warm fuzzy answer you were looking for ....LOL Well it is but Id better explain ...I have to buy "supplies" to use on the relos pressies so I tell my significant other I'll make presents "to save money" LOL ITs A WIN WIN i do get lots of "leftover" supplies and I get to make extra time to "create" and the relos feel all warm fuzzy and extra special ....LOL At the risk of sounding like a smart alec no charlie we all come out winners!
ReplyDeleteWhat I love the most about crafting for the holidays is that I get to use my "gift" to celebrate the "Greatest Gift ", and bring JOY to someone else. The many beautiful products help me to "express" my appreciation (for my gift) through my creation and that brings greater Joy to me and to the recipient.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag holder, Gloria!! Gosh, my favorite thing about crafting for the holidays is thinking of a gift idea that a loved one will cherish -- and finding a cute, festive way to package it. I like to put a lot of thought into the colors I use (traditional? nontraditional?) as well as what kinds of embellishments to add. This Christmas will be my first year making holiday crafts with Graphic 45 paper - and it will definitely not be the last!!
ReplyDeleteThat altered gift card holder is beautiful. Great inspiration piece!
ReplyDeletethe best part of holiday crafting is letting my kids play with my scrappy tools & making presents for their friends & teachers. warm fuzzies of seeing their faces with homemade gifts is pricelessthanks for the chance & sending love from New Zealand

ReplyDeleteI LoVe this time of year to make gifts for charitable organizations and Hand-made may make your recipient feel you spent a lot of time, thought and energy into the gift. Its something that cant be duplicated Even though the gift could be something that took very little money to create. I'm currently making Art journals for family and friends with lots of glitter. The box of goodies looks scrumptious in that pizza box. :)
ReplyDeleteI am also new and loving what I am reading!
ReplyDeleteYour "Proverbs 31 Woman" verse, says it all, with the work of her hands bringing her praise. I like that crafting Christmas cards and gifts, speaks of how we have paid attention to the details of our friends and family's lives, and it is a true gift from my heart to each of them.
ReplyDeleteYour box of Sweets, is an exciting addition for some fortunate crafter. They will be blessed indeed!
Wow congrats!! I am a new follower and love what I see :) You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats on your 500 followers :) what a prize!!! I love your gift card holder-it's beautiful.

Congratulations on 500 followers. What a thoughtful and grateful giveaway. Love your work. What I like most about crafting for the holidays is I can give a little of myself to others. And it goes back to old traditions of hand making something.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity.
Hi Gloria, congrats on 500 subscribers. I so enjoy your creations! I have a link to your blog from mine under "My Favorite Blogs" I love to send craters your way. The best thing that I love about crafting for the Holidays is the look on the faces after giving thier handmade gifts. PRICELESS!!
ReplyDeleteGloria this is one generous give-away, you have such a kind and caring spirit.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy making special one-of-a-kind Christmas cards for family and friends. I also love having my 3 and 7 year old daughters sit up to the table with me and make a HUGE mess creating their own works of art over the Christmas break :)
I enjoy making cards to give to my friends and family. It makes the season more personal because I feel like I am giving part of me. Love your blog and congratulations on reaching 500 followers.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE crafting during the holidays! I love giving and receiving handmade gifts. It is so much more personal when someone has put their heart into making my gift!
ReplyDeleteI a follower, since I saw your beautiful work on G45 blog! Thank you for giving a chance to win a whole box of goodies.
ReplyDeleteWhen I work on the holidays gifts, I like to picture faces of my beloved ones when they unwrap the packaging and squeak with delight and anticipation :)
You know how to kick off the holiday season! Love your pretty tag. So many pretty layers!
ReplyDeleteThe BEST thing about crafting for the holidays is that I can use as much glitter as I want and no one looks at me strangely! :D I LOVE glitter and some of my favourite childhood memories are of looking at the sparkle and glitter of Christmas trims. I still remember being able to shake glitter onto a long string of white glue on a handcrafted candle holder(the top of a bleach bottle spray painted gold) Ahhhh...my happy place! :)
Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to go play with some glitter today! :)
Great blog! Congratulations. I love craft at the holidays because the gifts I give bring memories to other that last a lot longer than most gifts. The cards or albums I give are z piece of me and piece of a special event that they now can look at anytime they want. They will think of me and that time over and over with happiness.
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria, long time fan of your work and somehow I wasn't a follower! ACK!!! Well, congrats on 500 followers, yoiur blog is beautiful & so is this blog candy! Very generous of you. My fave part about crafting for the holidays is the look on my family and friend's faces when they see beautiful handmade gifts, just for them. My mom still cries everytime I make her something LOL! Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove to give them as gifts and see the reactions. Needless to say...some people don't get them two years in a row ;)
ReplyDeleteI love to take a break from all of the holiday hubbub and close myself off to craft, re-center and rejuvenate!
ReplyDeleteWhat I love most - the larger variety of crafts I get into for the holidays - making ornaments, wreaths, etc :)
ReplyDeleteWhat I love least - Christmas cards. I never send any out and always feel bad about it :( Hoping to change that this year (but haven't made one yet...)
What a wonderful prize!!! You are too generous!
ReplyDeleteWhat i love most about scrapbooking for the Holidays is making cards... the REDS, the glitter, the flowers, the snowflakes... and the sparkle in the eyes of the people who i give my cards to :)
what I love most is knowing my son and daughter will cherish my books and crafts when they grow up. I do it all for them anyway. Thanks for the chance @ some goodies.
ReplyDelete-Maria
Congrats! I actually like to get all my holiday crafting done months early so that I'm not left scrambling. I like to just sit back and enjoy the holiday.
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria! Love all your artwork in Just Steampunk-especially the Steampunk tray. (I'm on page 94.) What I love about making holiday cards: I can tailor each card for the recipient. Some friends like birds, fairies, etc...I also like to make a bag of cards as gifts. This can be dangerous though. My friends and family have become very spoiled and don't want to send store cards any more. LOL Have a great Holiday season!
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria, My favorite thing about crafting for the holidays, and any time of year - is that each item can be customized for the recipient. No matter what time of year - each craft becomes a special gift, made with the love and caring that no store bought item can carry. Thanks for your blog - and have a Happy, Healthy Holiday Season with your loved ones.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Prize package! How kind of you to share your goodies! I love the card holder, a great inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHey Gloria. Looks like a fun prize pack, thanks for offering it!!!
ReplyDeleteI like making something really unique for Christmas. This year I'm making everyone hanging calendars. It will tell everyone, the whole family's birthdays! I love when something turns out really great. It is exciting!
Have a great Christmas!
Thanks for the chance to win such a fabulous box of goodies. I love to start Christmas cards early in November. All the fun products and colors and stamps are part of the anticipation of the upcoming holiday for me.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's quite the goody box! Thanks for the giveaway and for all the inspiration! Have a great Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeletecdring@comcast.net
The thing I love most about crafting for the holidays is the crafting itself. I love listening to Christmas music while I create and love the fact that I could go out and buy it, but I'd rather make it instead. I do enjoy giving people things I've made, but the best part for me is making them. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and creates some really amazing stuff this year. Idaho Amy
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria,
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the giveaway. The goodies look very enticing - love the smooch and Graphic45 stuff in there.

Wow, great box of goodies, thanks for giving us the chance. I love crafting for the holidays because it's so much more individualized than anything you can buy in the stores. Everything is so "just the same"-I started creating my own decorations, something that NO ONE else has. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria...Congrats on reaching 500+ followers. What a fab giveaway you are providing..that has to be one of the best looking "pizzas" I have ever seen : )
ReplyDeleteI scrap/create gifts for my famil/friends all year long but I really enjoy it at this time of year...it's such a busy time of year for most & when you take the time to create something with your own two hands it seems so much more appreciated & loved by the person you give it to. It truly is a gift from the heart!
I am a new follower and I really love your work so am happy to have found you!! Christmas is my favourite time of year and I love to give presents and seeing the look on someone's face when you give them something that was created by you for them is very precious indeed and makes it all worthwhile! Thanks for all your inspiration and congrats on 500+ followers!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 500+. This is an amazing prize, thank you very much. The thing I like about crafting at Christmas is it helps get me in the holiday mood. Nothing like putting on some Christmas music and just doing my own thing. Great stress reliever after fighting the crowds.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great prize. I love your creations! I love making holiday items for my family and friends. I already have all my Christmas cards created and ready to go! Thanks for the chance to win all those goodies.
ReplyDeleteThe best part is hearing someone say "you MADE that?" The other best part is being able to give a friend something special not just something you found at the store.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! That's a beautiful gift card holder!! And an AWESOME prize package!! You are very generous!!
ReplyDeleteI love holiday crafting because I can give a gift that will be a part of the recipient's decor each year. They can appreciate the gift each time they take it out. I like it for myself because each year I unwrap the item it reminds me of the fun I had making it and it is special all over again.

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about the holiday is all the colours. I love making gift to my family and friends.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on surpassing 500 followers! Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy - the variety is exiting. What I love most about crafting for the holidays is the build of anticipation when I share or gift the project with someone. Their reaction to what I'd make (often for them). It warms my heart.
ReplyDeleteHey there Gloria.
ReplyDeleteThat tag is truly BEAUTIFUL!!!
I adore creating during the holiday season for it allows me to be very personal with many of the gifts I send out.
Thank you for always being such an amazing inspiration.
TOodles

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the give-away!
What I love most about this time of the year is preparing something special and personal to the people I love.
Congratulations on passing 500 and thank you for the great giveaway too! The best part of the gifts during the holidays is that it becomes something special and personal for that special someone. I also like that it's 'unique and different' from other gifts they receive because it's handmade and made with that person/people in mind... :=)
ReplyDeleteWow, big congrats! I love making gifts for the holidays. I try to make something special for that person, hoping they will like it. After the holidays, I like to scrap my new photos. What an amazing giveaway, thanks so much for the chance, I am already a follower ;)

ReplyDeleteI love that I get to put glitter on EVERYTHING! No holds barred on the glitter at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteCrafting for the holidays now reminds me of crafting for the holidays as a child. I remember painting walnut shells and gluing construction paper together to create ornaments. My fathers favorite ornament is a tree topper made from a toilet paper roll, cardboard star, tin foil and glitter made by my oldest... and crafting has just kept on rolling in this family. :D
ReplyDeleteWhat I love most is making things for people. They know that I care about them because I took the time and effort to make something really special just for them! sharon dot gullikson at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about crafting during the holidays, is the fact that it comes from the heart and I am not buying in to all the commercialism. The meaning of the holiday is fading fast and somehow I would like to be a part of keeping the true spirit alive.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 500+ followers I'm now one of them! What a great box of goodies your giving away! Crafting for the holidays always brings back such fond fun memories for me.

Congrats on your 500 followers! Just discovered your amazing blog and wow, your projects are incredible. My favorite thing about crafting for the holidays is that many of the items I make become keepsakes to be brought out every year. I have 30 years worth of handmade ornaments that I have made...all different techniques and styles.
ReplyDeleteLove Graphic 45 and you do an amazing job with it! Your gift card holder is spectacular and I love all the texture and layering! So glad I discovered your blog...and can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about crafting is knowing that i am making something that will be appreciated by those i care about!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing about crafting for the holidays is probably the same as what I think about crafting in general - that everyone these days seems so busy that they are so pleased when someone spends time on making them something.

How wonderful you have 500 followers. I have been one for a few years. I love your style. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a giveaway. I can only dream of all those treasures. I love making cards for Christmas because I feel as if I am sending part of me with the card. I love making decorations for the house because it gives me such a neat feeling to look at them and know I made them. I sometimes give away something away to a special friend who comes over and loves the items. It makes me feel special to know something I made is so treasured.
Thanks for the giveaway.

It is a joy to follow your blog. I can honestly say I knew you back when....Your art has grown leaps and bounds since then. I love your style, and you have certainly found the right companies that benefit from your artistic talents! Keep the ideas coming - you are great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat i love most about crafting at Christmas is learning new techniques so that the recipients of gifts never know what to expect!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog & thjanks for the inspiration you create! Nicki xx
I love making cards the most, but my family is growing, so one of the things I do around the holidays is make another page for our parents with scrapbooked pictures of the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This year I'm adding my little granddaughter, who just turned one, plus a photo of my son and his fiancee, who will be married in December, plus one of her three children. Our parents love this!! I love doing it for them. I made the original album for them about 4 yrs ago and add to it for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog but I'm an instant fan of your work! I love vintage and the way you combine bold colors with it is a true talent!! You're very gifted indeed!

ReplyDeleteHey Gloria! What a fantastic prize package - and I love that you put it in a pizza box :)(makes me hungry lol).
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about crafting for the holidays is taking the time to think carefully about the person or people that the craft is going to and making it special just for them. It might mean I use a particular color or charm or style that I know will immediately catch their eye and make them smile.
Congrats on reaching 500 followers...and that probably doesn't include people like me that track your posts through Google Reader. I love crafting for the holidays because I have a chance to think about and say a prayer for all the people getting my handmade cards!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about crafting for the Holidays has to be my "alone time" in my craft room. I put on some music and that's that! I also love seeing the look on faces when they open my gift, handmade just for them. I'm off to become your follower, I can't imagine anyone not claiming your prizes. Linda S. in NE

PS. I am having a small giveaway on my blog and I would love it if you came over and took part in it.
What I love about crafting in and for the holidays is that giving of your creativity is really giving yourself and that's the best gift I can give those I love. I really appreciate everyone who shares their creativity through blogs like this--it is incredibly generous!
ReplyDeleteCrafting for me is all about finding myself thinking of something and then following thru to see its creation. I love the holidays because I can turn my holiday music on and start making gifts, cards, and altered art for my house. It's the best time fr me to unwind and also I have a little break which allows for it. Thanks for the chance to win!

You do the BEST stuff! I just love your blog. Thanks for sharing your gifts! I can't wait to see what you do next :) <3
ReplyDeleteI love crafting for the holidays because everyone you make the gifts for know how much time and effort you put into the gift (verses how much you spent)
ReplyDeleteHello Gloria My favorite thing about crafting for the holidays and throughout the year is that whatever I make can never be bought in a store whether it be cards, calendars, door hangers etc. As I make all my cards solely to sell to raise funds for different charities I know that the recipients like my items and it gives them joy but I am also helping charities out as well. Like many many crafters my heart and soul goes into my crafting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a lovely chance to win some candy. Wishing you and yours all the very best. Kym xxx
Oh my goodness Gloria! This is fabulous candy! I can't imagine that gift card holder went unclaimed! I love to make handmade gifts for Christmas because they show I really took the time to think about and create something special for the recipient. Same goes for cards - handmade cards are always better! And not just for Christmas, but any holiday or birthday! Thanks for the chance to win this scrumptious candy!

I love making tiny gift boxes, bags and gift card holders. It's fun to give a little bit of yourself in your gifts. Thanks for you continual inspiration.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! What I love most about handmaking gifts is that my family and friend have come to expect handmade from me. The best compliment I ever got from a friend was her comment "what are you going to make for me this year?"
ReplyDeleteI love to see the look on someone's face when they've ordered a simple Christmas card from me. "don't fuss" they say and I deliver a card that sparkles or shimmers and is way beyond their expectations! I like to surprise people and give them more than they expect. That's what holiday projects are to me.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 500 followers! I love to surprise people with homemade gifts. They seem to mean so much more.
