All Things Altered Blog Hop!

Welcome to the "All Things Altered" Blog Hop! You should be coming to me from Irit's Blog. If you are lost, see the list of blogs at the end of this post to make sure you visit everyone!

You may be wondering what this Blog Hop is all about. Several weeks ago, Pam at Scrapbook Flair got in touch with me and asked if I would take part in an altered art blog hop. I was happy to play along! I love altering stuff, and I love vintage and grunge style! Anyway, Pam put together a line-up of 14 designers, all making some fun and funky altered art for you to see.

And there are PRIZES!

Simply Betty Stamps – Halloween Steampunk Stamps
Irit Shaloms Designs – Tim Holtz Christmas Stamp Set
Eillen Hull's Thoughts From My Studio: Sizzix Die (new release)
Scrapbook Flair – Grand Prize Altered Art Package, including a 10$ gift certificate from Ginger Snap Scraps and 15$ gift certificate from Oh My Crafts

Plus, some of the designers are also giving away goodies! Here is a peeky at my prize package!

Graphic 45 - Selection of 12x12 papers, The Magic of Oz 8x8 paper pad, Christmas Emporium Cling Stamps, G45 Flair Button
Hampton Art Stamps - Flourish and Bloom Clear Stamps, Butterfly Greetings and Floral Damask iCling Stamps
Want2Scrap - Spellbinders Nestibabling
7Gypsies - Gears
Maya Road - Portrait Mini Chipboard Set
Prima - Flowers
Fiskars - Stylus, Scallop Tear Edger
Tim Holtz Idea-ology - Ruler

To be entered to win one of the main three prize packages:

1. Leave a comment on all the designers' blogs
2. Sign up to Follow the blogs
3. Leave a message on Scrapbook Flair Blog telling Pam you did what you were supposed to do! {grin}

To win MY prize pack, just leave a comment on this post and I will draw one winner to win!

Enough chit chat! Here is my altered project. I wanted to make a project with a sewing theme for my mom, for Mother's Day. (Mom, if you are peeking, stop it!)

I altered a 10x10 artist canvas. I painted all the edges black, then used Mod Podge to attach fabbie Graphic 45 paper (Domestic Goddess Happy Homemaker). Once I had the paper all attached, I went to town adding sewing items. (I do NOT sew, but love sewing paraphernalia!)

I covered chipboard dress forms with paper and other odds and ends. I wanted this canvas to look like a sewing project was "in session."

The chipboard was all naked, meaning I had to do something with it...as in ALTER it. {grin} I sprayed the hanger and scissors with silver mica spray.

I found some fun embellishments in the button section of the craft store. The package contained a needle, thimble, and some other items. Very fun!

Remember, leave a comment, follow the blogs, and be ready to win! Now, hop on over to Cindi's Blog!
