Hampton Art Stamps and Scor-Pal Feature Week!

Today is my turn to share a project as part of the Hampton Art Stamps and Scor-Pal Feature Week! Scor-Pal makes some awesome tools for card making, paper crafting, and embellishment creation. Pair that with the uber awesome Hampton Art Stamps images and you get MAGIC!

I am creating some altered notepads to give as gifts. If you missed the one I made HERE, go take a peeky. This time I made a long, skinny notepad cover and a matching gift card envelope. Perfect for gift-giving!

I stamped the nutcracker image from the Hampton Art Stamps/Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet set and colored him with Copic markers. For the gift envelope, I stamped the Hampton Art Stamps Partridge Wreath image in red ink, then added the postage mark (Hampton Art Stamps/Art Warehouse Believe in Christmas) in black.

To create a notepad cover for a 8 x 2 1/2 inch notepad, trim cardstock to 5 1/4 x 8 1/8 inches. (If you cannot find 8 x 2 1/2 inch notepads, your local office supply store will trim 8 x 85 notepads in half for a small fee.)

Use the Scor-pal to score your cardstock at 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 inches to create a holder.

Attach the notepad to the inside of the holder with 1/4" Scor-tape. Decorate your holder as desired, You may add some ribbon to make a closure for the notepad.

To create the gift envelope, trim paper to 5 3/4 inches square.

Use the Scor-Envi tool to create the envelope. Score at 4 1/4 and 7 3/4 inches.

Rotate your paper, and score again at  4 1/4 and 7 3/4 inches.

Trim the paper where the score lines overlap, as shown. Fold and glue flaps to create your envelope.

Decorate your envelope as desired. This size is perfect for holding a gift card. I added a button closure to the back, just to keep the gift card secure.
