Here is a peeky at the RRR August Ribbon Club. This pink/brown/cream assortment makes me think of ice cream and chocolate and strawberries! I love the lace!
I decided to go "girly vintage" this month. I was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch #300 from a few weeks ago, so I sort of followed that. I like to have a lot of layers and prints on my cards. I picked out a few prints from several different paper pads and match them up.
I recently reorganized my stamps, and I have one bin that I call "glamour girls fashion coffee tea chocolate"! This stamp made its way into that bin. I think she's so cute, so I colored her all in pink, blinged her up and....ta da.
I used Copics, of course. I have not used Copics in a while. I have big plans to color some images while on vacation (Aug. 9-16) so as you read this I may be at the lake coloring my heart out! {grin}
I added some bling to her hair. I added just a bit of the lace from the ribbon club to brown dot paper. Just that touch of vintage to tie into my flower.
I created a bow with the brown diamond satin. I then made a flower with some of the lace. I just ran a running stitch through one side of the lace, pulled it together and knotted it off. EASY. I am not a handy with a needle, so if I can do this, so can you! I attached the flower to the bow, then glued a rhinestone to the top of the lace. And you have a vintage, sparkly flower embellishment.
