Couture Creations First Design Team Audition

Hello and good morning! I think I told you that at Winter 2013 CHA I had done some work for Couture Creations. Well, the projects I made for them are finally posted HERE. If you scroll around their blog you will also see some photos from CHA. I was working their booth one morning (prior to getting sick). I am the gal in the bright, green sweater! (wink)

Couture Creations is also having a design team call. If you want to play with amazing products, visit their blog to see how to enter!

That said, I am going to post some of my favorite projects where I have used embossing folders and die cut shapes as my entry into the DT Call. (I will do a post with the CHA projects later in the week, with some tips and hints, plus I will post a little tutorial!)

This is probably my favorite project from the CHA series that I made for Couture Creations. It is not my "normal style" but I just love how it turned out! I stamped, embossed, die cut, inked, and just had a blast! Plus, this card makes me think of chocolate...and who doesn't love some chocolate?!

This is another favorite from the show. I used new Graphic 45 papers, and think the colors and the embossing came together so well.

This is an older project where I used a lot of different "fancy" die cut shapes.

This card is another "old favorite." I used a bunch of different embossing folders. I think this card weighed about 2 pounds when I was finished layering it up!

I think this was one of the first times I ever used Core'dinations paper. I love that you can sand it to show off the embossing!

This one is one of my favorites because I used the faux patina technique over the embossed areas. Plus, I created a faux leather look to the stamped image. Very manly!

Here is another masculine card. I used several different folders and some stamping techniques for this one.

This is a more recent card. I embossed and then rubbed the card with white ink. I love the look of "dried paint" that this technique gives.

I made this card about a week ago using Core'dinations papers and several embossing folders.

I created this notepad cover out of embossed paper, and then used lots of die cut shapes to decorate it. It is one of my very favorite "easy" projects. I love the colors!

I had to throw a scrapbook page into the mix! I used lots of die cut shapes on this one! And a bit of embossing. Plus, I love this photo of myself.

This altered tin makes a great gift card holder. I used lots of die cut shapes!

Last project...this is an mini altered canvas. Again. lots of die cut shapes! And perfect for everyone who is wishing spring would get here FAST!

Ok, that's my audition! I hope you like it!

  1. These are all amazing. I am always drawn to Graphic 45 projects, and those are my favorites, but they truly all are gorgeous.
