Heartfelt Creations Wednesday - Poppy Pocket Pages!

Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! I have created a double-page scrapbook layout for you today (don't faint) using the We R Memory Keeper pocket pages. This style of scrapbooking is very popular, but I have only made a few of these types of layouts. I decided to give it a try with the fabulous Blazing Poppy Collection! You can get the Essentials Kit until July 3rd!

I gathered some photos of my "found relatives" that seemed like the same little, old couple...if you squint, and created a 50th anniversary spread. I love the black accents paired with the bright poppies!

The left-hand page contains one vertical 6" x 12" pocket and three horizontal 6" x 4" pockets. (My pockets were slightly "off" in the measurement, so I had to trim the cardstock mats and the decorative papers a bit to get them to fit.)

To decorate pocket #1 (6" x 12"), trim black cardstock to 6" x 12". Trim Blazing Poppy arch paper to 5 7/8" x 11 7/8" and attach to the cardstock mat. Mat two small photos, approximately 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", with black cardstock. Attach the photos to the decorative paper, to the right of the arch decoration.

Slip the panel into the pocket. Use the ticket die from the Luggage and Tags Die set to trim out the "special day" sentiment from the Blazing Poppy paper. Attach the ticket to the top of the pocket with foam adhesive.

Use the Cut Mat Create 2A Die to trim the large vine from a scrap of green Blazing Poppy paper. Glue the vine to the lower left corner of the pocket. Create a large dimensional flower by stamping the Blazing Poppy Petals Cling Stamp Set twice onto white cardstock. Color the flowers with markers and inks. Use the Blazing Poppy Die to cut out the flowers. Shape the petals and assemble one large flower by gluing the layers together. Add a black gem to the flower center. Glue the flower to the pocket as shown. Glue two rhinestone rings under the left edge of the flower.

For pocket #2, trim black cardstock to 6" x 4". Trim the 6" x 6" "beauty" Blazing Poppy paper to 5 7/8" x 3 7/8" and attach to the black cardstock. Slip the panel into the pocket. Use black glitter mist to spray a chipboard phrase. Allow the chipboard to dry, then glue the phrase to the top of the pocket.

For pocket #3 trim black cardstock to 6" x 4". Trim a piece of Blazing Poppy paper to 5 7/8" x 3 7/8" and attach to the black cardstock. Trim a decorative border from the paper and attach it to the top of the panel as shown. Mat a wallet-sized photo with black cardstock and attach it to the right side of the panel.

Use the scalloped tag die from the Luggage and Tags Die set to trim out the decorative tag from the Blazing Poppy paper. Attach the tag to the left side of the panel with foam adhesive. Use the oval label die to trim out the "with love" label. Attach the label to the tag with foam adhesive. Slip the panel into the pocket. Glue a fem to the top of the pocket, covering the hole in the label.

For pocket #4 trim black cardstock to 6" x 4". Trim a piece of Blazing Poppy corner paper to 5 7/8" x 3 7/8" and attach to the black cardstock. Mat a wallet-sized photo with black cardstock and attach it to the left side of the panel. Fussy cut a section of the flowers and attach with foam adhesive, overlapping the photo. Slip the panel into the pocket.

The right-hand page contains one horizontal 6" x 12" pocket and three vertical 6" x 4" pocketsTo decorate pocket #5 (12" x 6"), trim black cardstock to 12" x 6". Trim Blazing Poppy "one in a million" paper to 11 7/8" x 5 7/8" and attach to the cardstock mat. Mat two photos, approximately 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and 4" x 5", with black cardstock. Attach the photos to the decorative paper as shown.

Slip the panel into the pocket. Use the Cut Mat Create 1B Die to trim the small vine from a scrap of green Blazing Poppy paper. Glue the vine to the upper left corner of the pocket. Make a small dimensional flower from the left over Blazing Poppy Petals created earlier. Add a black gem to the flower center. Glue the flower to the pocket as shown.

Stamp the Time Sentiments Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock with black ink. Use the Once Upon a Time Die to trim out the "Time to Remember" sentiment. Color the sentiment with ink and attach to the right side of the flower with foam adhesive.

For pocket #6 trim black cardstock to 4" x 6". Trim a piece of Blazing Poppy decorative photo mat paper to 3 7/8" x 5 7/8" and attach to the black cardstock. Mat a wallet-sized photo with black cardstock and attach it to the panel. Slip the panel into the pocket.

For pocket #7 trim black cardstock to 4" x 6". Trim down a 4" x 6" photo and attach it to the black cardstock. Slip the panel into the pocket. Trim the phrase from the Blazing Poppy paper and attach it to the top of the pocket with foam adhesive.

For pocket #8 trim black cardstock to 4" x 6". Trim a piece of Blazing Poppy decorative paper to 3 7/8" x 5 7/8" and attach to the black cardstock. Mat a wallet-sized photo with black cardstock and attach it to the panel. Slip the panel into the pocket. Make a small dimensional flower from the left over Blazing Poppy Petals created earlier. Add a black gem to the flower center. Glue the flower to the pocket as shown. Stamp the leaf from the Botanical Rose Cling Stamp Set onto a scrap of white cardstock with black ink. Color the leave with green ink. Us the Botanical Wings Die to trim out the leaf and attach it to the left of the flower. Trim the phrase from the Blazing Poppy paper and attach it to the top of the pocket with foam adhesive.
