Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon September Blog HopYou should be coming to my blog from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. (For the complete blog list, scroll to the bottom of the post.) After visiting me, hop over to the spectacular Ginny's Blog next!

At the end of the hop, comment on the RRR Blog post, answering the question listed, for a chance to win the September Ribbon Club Assortment shown below. (The Design Team appreciates your comments, too!)

The September Ribbon Club Assortment is called Halloween Assortment. Every year since I started to work with Really Reasonable Ribbon (since around 2011), I have looked forward to the holiday collections! They are always wonderful, and even after seven years, I rarely notice a ribbon cropping up a second time!

So, since it IS a Halloween assortment, I decided to make a....Halloween card!
I recently got my hands on the NEW Authentique Nightfall collection, and, oh boy is it CUTE! I love all the vintage images!

I decided to create a 6" x 5" loaded card. A loaded card is a card that is so much more than "just" a card. It can have elements of a scrapbook page or a mini album, as well as pockets for gift cards or small gifts. I don't want to call this a folio, because it's not really...it's a card, on steroids!
When the card opens, you will see six double-sided panels perfect for decorating or for adding photos. There is also a wonderful gift card pocket, which can hold candy or cash as well.

I don't usually do a tutorial for these hops, but I DO have a little tutorial for you today! So let's get started!
To create the card base cut one piece of black cardstock to 6" x 5". This is the front of your card. Cut a second piece of black cardstock to 6 3/4" tall by 5" wide. Score at 1/2" and 3/4" from the top edge. Add adhesive to the 1/2" scored section, as shown.

Fold and burnish your score lines. Attach the front panel to the taped tab, creating a card with a 1/4" spine at the top. Now your card is actually 6" tall, 5" wide, and 1/4" deep. Creating the spine at the top allows for us to stuff this loaded card!
The Nightfall collection is all ivory, black, and orange, but I love to add green and purple to my Halloween creations. I created a layered panel with Authentique Spectrum Green Thumb and Orchid cardstock. I then added a layer of Nightfall Two paper.

I wrapped the panel with Grape Delicate Stitched Satin and Black Checkerboard Satin. I then added the die cut frame and clock to the panel (Graphic 45 Square Tag and Clock). I die cut the shapes from Nightfall Four (reverse) paper. Once I had the panel all assembled, I attached it to the front of the card.
I added a horizontal panel made from Spectrum Ginger Snap cardstock, black cardstock and Nightfall Three paper. I wrapped this panel with the Apple Green Taffeta Ribbon (my new FAVORITE taffeta color) and the Spider Webs on Black Satin Ribbon. Once I had the panel wrapped, I added it to the card.

I double-matted the image and tucked in under the ribbon, then added the circle greeting. The greeting is from one of the Nightfall Stickers
I die cut the "Trick or Treat" topper from the Green Thumb cardstock, and then cut just the "or" from the Ginger Snap. I added it to the top of the image to look as if the image mat and the topper are all one piece. {clever and crafty, no?!}

I then decided to add just a tail of the spider web ribbon over the top of the black checkerboard.
Because I love me some big ol' bows, I made three! One from the Black Checkerboard Satin, Grape Delicate Stitched Satin, and Apple Green Taffeta Ribbon

I then created a spider from the ornate key hole die that is part of the Graphic 45 Square Tag and Clock and a matte finish enamel dot...to which I drew two eyes with a white pen! I dangled a witch's hat charm from the purple bow. CUTE!

I also added some bits of the frame under the bow for more dimension.
The back of the card is simple, just a piece of the Nightfall Four paper, matted with Green Thumb cardstock, and a few stickers.

Now, for the magic...the inside!
Cut two pieces of black cardstock to 4" x 9 1/2" and score at 3", 6", and 9". Attach one panel by the 1/2" tab to the left side of the card and one panel to the right. I added mine just below the fold. Then, cover the inside panels with Green Thumb Spectrum cardstock.
I added Nightfall Three to the top panel and Nightfall Two to the bottom panel. I then folded up the accordion panels in a right-left progression, adding magnets to keep the panels closed.
I created a "stacked sentiment" for the top panel by adding three different sentiments to the stamping tool, then stamping them all at once with black ink. I used the black, orange, green, and purple cardstock to create this pretty panel.
For the bottom panel, I added a gift card pocket, decorated with one of the Nightfall 6x6 images and another stamped sentiment. I also added some spooky die cut shapes!
When the card opens, you can see all the pretty decor.
The accordion panels fold up nicely and are held closed by the magnets. The 1/4" spine that I created allows the card to close nicely.
A standard-size gift card fits into the holder.
Each panel is 4" x 3" and the Nightfall ephemera cards fit perfectly!
When you flip the left side accordion over, that reverse is also decorated!
And so is the right side! So many panels for holding decor or photos!

Thanks for looking! Now, hop over to Ginny's Blog to see what she has for you!
