October CardMaps - Halloween

Hello, Friends! I will be sharing the October CardMaps (from Becky Fleck at PageMaps) during the month of October, a new one each week! 

Here is the CardMap for today:

My favorite style of card is a top fold, so you know I loved this one! I think this will be a CardMap that I use over and over again!

Since Becky drew the map in a Halloween theme, I decided to keep with that theme. (I don't always do that, but this time, I thought why not?!) I followed the sketch pretty closely. That is why I love sketches so much. You can use them in so many ways, including rotating them or using different elements than shown.  

The finished card is 7" tall and 5" wide. I used the Authentique Nightfall Collection, which is very cute and whimsical. The paper collection is black, cream, and orange. But I love to use purple for Halloween, so I just pulled the black and cream papers from the pack.

I tied a yummy bow using Hyacinth Satin Ribbon. That silly kitty is a button that I found in my stash! I also die cut a spiderweb from gray cardstock and stamped a "scary" spider onto the web with black ink. 

I decorated the inside of the card with Spectrum Orchid cardstock and a bit of the printed paper. I also added a sticker from the collection and then stamped a message with black ink.

A little P.S. - My husband and I were supposed to leave for a two-week vacation today, but we've had to cancel due to some health issues on my part. I am scheduled to see a specialist on October 17th, which will probably result in some surgery for me. I covet your prayers as I walk through this valley. I know it will be better on the other side, but for now, it's a bit of a bummer!
