His and Hers Cards with Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello, friends! I am here with another project for the Annette Green/Elizabeth Craft Designs Everything's Blooming Collection from the Everyday Elements line of stamps and diesThe release contains three stamp sets and ten die sets and is now available in the ECD Store! Click HERE to see it all!

I am sharing the last two cards that I created for the LIVE release shows, which were seen on Facebook Live and Create and Craft TV. Going forward I will be making at least two new projects per month for the Everyday Elements line, with one being cross-posted to the ECD Blog! I have a lot of fun things planned, so make sure to stay tuned!

I decided to share these "his and hers" cards with you today. The dies and stamps in this collection are so useful for many types of projects, and just by changing the paper style you get a totally different vibe!

The masculine card garnered a lot of interest during Annette's presentations. I know that masculine cards can be hard to design and make, so I am really happy that folks liked this one!

I created a 5" x 6" top-fold card from dark brown cardstock, then added the wonderful plaid paper (Authentique Mister).
I used the Postage Stamps dies to cut out a large postage stamp shape from cream cardstock. I then inked the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. Using scrap chipboard and foam tape, I attached the postage shape to the card. I then used the included rectangle dies from the Postage Stamps dies set to cut out a plaid panel and a dark brown mat to act as a "frame" for my very proper gentleman!

I fussy cut the gentleman image from the paper collection and attached it to the frame with foam adhesive. I also cut a tiny postage shape using the die set, and added some sticker numbers (23) .
Using the Lace Borders die set, I cut a border from coordinating plaid paper and attached the border to the top of the card. I trimmed a matching strip of paper to attach below the image panel, then added some copper colored pearls to the ends.

I trimmed the sentiment from cream cardstock using the Everyday Words dies. I then sponged on some of the Gathered Twigs Distress ink before gluing the phrase to the card.
I lined the inside of the card with cream panels, onto which I sponged ink and stamped with the wreath from the Happy Stamp Set

I die cut the border again from plaid paper and attached it to the top panel. I used the "negative" portion of the border for the bottom panel. Who would think you would use something called Lace Borders on a masculine card!?!
I love how the image and postage frame pops off the card just by using some scrap chipboard and foam tape!
I hope I am able to make more masculine cards each month as my stash is very depleted. This one has been sent off to travel the land, so I need to copy off myself and make another one! {giggle}

Now, lets see how to use some of the same stamps and dies to make a feminine card!

I did not write down what size this card is, but I think it is 4 1/2" x 6" (I know, I am the queen of odd sizes!) It is not here for me to measure, but...no matter, just make your preferred size!

The card base is brown cardstock, then lined on the inside.
I used the same sort of technique with the Postage Stamps dies to create my focal image. This time I used the rectangle dies included in the set to cut out the main image and the different layers of mats.
I trimmed a piece of collage paper (Stamperia) and then used coordinating ink to stamp the honey label and the large bee image from the Honeybee Stamp Set. I simply love this stamp set! As you all know...I have sworn off buying any more stamp sets...so getting this one in my DT package was....so wonderful.
I added a bit of lace, hand dyed with distress reinker (Antique Linen). I then used the Fancy Flourishes Die Set to cut some flourishes from the printed paper. I glued the flourishes directly to the printed panel.

I used the Postage Stamps dies to trim a postage shape from off-white cardsotck, inked with distress ink. I placed some cheesecloth behind the shape, then used scrap chipboard layers to pop it off the card front.
Once I had cut and matted the focal image from the printed paper, I die cut the sentiment from brown cardstock using the Everyday Words dies. (The die set does come with the shadow dies as well, but I don't normally use them.) I glued the sentiment to the focal image.
For the inside of the card, I distressed a piece of the Stamperia paper for the top panel. I stamped the bee image again (Honeybee stamp set).
For the bottom panel, I stamped the honey label again, and added a strip of the decorative paper to the top edge. There is plenty of room to write a message!
Thanks for joining me today to see more samples with Annette's wonderful new collection. I hope you will support her efforts so that she can continue to release MORE stamps and dies! And perhaps a paper collection of her own!! To see the full collection, click HERE.
