I created a 5" x 5" card, which seems so small after making a bunch of 6" x 6" cards lately! I am going to use this card on my tiered tray in July, so this size fits the tray perfectly! I love red, white, and blue! Perfection! 

My stash of patriotic papers is dwindling and I need to look into buying some new collections soon. I hope someone comes out with a nice one this year...unless I am too late already! {eek} These are old Authentique papers from my stash. Love that plaid! 

The focal image is positively ancient! It is a photo sticker that I have had for probably decades! I have a few sheets of these photos-made-into-stickers and always forget about them! 

Big surprise, I did NOT use any of my patriotic plaid ribbons! They all clashed with the plaid paper! So...Atter some ribbon reconnaissance, I chose the 5/8" Smoke Blue Taffeta ribbon to wrap around the center panel. I love this color so much! 

After I had the card assembled, I added the bows! I made one each from Glory Blue seam binding, Cream seam binding, and Red seam binding. I sort of wish I had put the blue on the bottom and the red on top, but...once I hot glue everything, it is hard to yank it apart! 

Tip: I used the taffeta for the wrapped piece of ribbon because it lays very flat. The seam binding can tend to act funny when it is stretched flat. I love it for bows, but prefer a stiffer ribbon for the bottom "layer" of ribbon which wraps the paper and cardstock. 

I added the sticker words and bell (Authentique) and the metal stars. I have no idea where I found those stars. I am running out of them, but I am not sure if they are Tim Holtz or....where I got them! If you recognize them, will you please leave the information in the comments section??!
