Triple B Challenge - May 2024

Hello! I am joining Darlene and Diane again for the Triple B Challenge this month! Triple B is a card challenge that is all about Birds, Butterflies, and Blooms! Plus, each month there is an Inspiration Board to help you get your creative juices flowing!

Here is your inspiration board for May. Those purples are eye popping! So pretty.

I scoured through my paper stash looking for purple papers and found more than I though I would!

I created a 5" x 5" card from green cardstock. I think this might be a Stampin' Up cardstock, but I am not sure as it had no label with it, but I did have quite a stack of it, so it makes sense to me. {smile}

I used a square die with a piercing decoration on it to cut out the white cardstock panel on the front and for the inside of the card.
The papers are from my stash of Heartfelt Creations oldies but goodies (Cut Mat Create and Italian Riviera). I am pretty sure the papers are from my time on the Heartfelt Design Team in...2014 maybe?

The gorgeous image in the center of the card is from Mintay Papers Flora Book 10 Wreaths Edition. I picked up this lovely book of images in October 2023 when I was out scrapbook shopping with my friends. We stopped by Frank Garcia Studio when we were in Ontario, CA to visit the Scrapbook Expo. I may have bought some stuff that day.....
How beautiful are those gorgeous purple flowers! I used circle dies to cut out the image and to mat it for the card front. The sentiment is from a Power Poppy clear set called Nice Things to Say. I stamped with Stampin' Up Old Olive ink - which is not the whole truth there. I have an ink pad of Olive Close to My Heart and a re-inker of SU Old Olive so now I have a bit of a hybrid ink pad! Best to not ask!

I used Stampin' Up Lavender Lace ink to smudge around the sentiment tag. Such a pretty purple and green combination!

I also added some enamel dots here and there to mimic raindrops.
I made the inside of the card all pretty, too. I stamped another sentiment from the same Power Poppy set and added bits of the printed paper.

Thanks for joining me for the Triple B Challenge! I hope you get inspired by this challenge. Dig into your stash and play along!

Remember you do NOT have to follow the board as it is just for inspiration, BUT YOU DO have to use 1, 2 or 3 of the B's ... Birds, Butterflies, and/or Blooms.

Now it's YOUR turn, so pull out those stamps, dies, stencils, or whatever other goodies you have in your stash and have some fun with us.

We won't always have a prize but periodically we will, you just never know! To link up your challenge project, click on THIS link to take you to the Triple B Blog
