The sketch really inspired me for today. Instead of making a paper triangle, I formed my embellies into a triangle! My printed paper is on the card background, but you can see through the clear cover! I love how it turned out!
The paper is Cosmo Cricket Gretel Butterflies. I love this paper! So rich and vintage looking! And I cut into the ONLY sheet I had! GASP!
The flowers are all Prima, with Kaiser Kraft pearls for centers. I am not sure where I got that felt bird...I think in an Apron Strings Designs kit. I gave him a pearl eye. (wink) The twill has been in my stash for a long time. The crochet flower came to me in a CropStop flower swap (thanks Jingles!).
I cut out the sentiment with the Spellbinders label die. That is an SU stamp. I also covered the back of the card with plain paper so you can write a message on the back and not wreck the pretty card.
The other great thing about 365 Cards having a sponsor is that I play along ALL week so as to use the product we are given! So you will see a card every day this week.
I also want to show you another card from the MacMae July Card Kit. Pam lets the 365 Cards team do double duty and design with these amazing kits and I was up for July. I showed one card the other day, but here is another one. I'll try to show one or two every day this week.
The kits contain all Bazzill cards and cardstock. The papers this time were Basic Grey Lime Rickey and Sassafras Bungle Jungle. I love this cute Bungle Jungle Pal Parade paper! Everything on the card was in the kit, except the sentiment and the ink, and the punch I used for making the flower.
Ok, that's enough for today! Tune in tomorrow for more! I'll be revealing my Apron Strings Designs PAGES in a few days, so watch for those! Yes, you read that right...scrapbook pages!
In Memoriam: Today is the anniversary of my dad's death. My Pop passed away, at the age of 68, on July 12, 1997. I still miss him, especially when I have something really "cool" to tell him. He loved to hear all my creative ideas and loved to tell people how "smart" I was. He was my biggest fan. I pray that I'll see him in Heaven one day. And for both our sakes, I hope there are crafts in Heaven!
