When it comes to crafty items, I just can't say no. I can't buy one, I have to buy four. I love knowing I have a bunch of "whatever" in my hoard. Nothing burns my backside more than needing three of something and having only one. Well, I've been on the hunt for the mulberry paper flowers that all the European girls use on their cards...and they are hard to find in the USA, esp. here locally. But yesterday I hit the mother load! I found some at Michael's, by Making Memories (they have a new line out called Vintage Findings) and some by Prima (which were on SALE). I also found some similar ones in the bridal department! In fact I found a bunch of scrappy stuff in that dept. - and for dirt cheap! woot woot! I spent a big part of today sorting my new stash.... I love my hoard. I don't care what my dh says!
Ok, now that you know the real reason why I make stuff...for the supplies...here is my card for today. It's another Triple the Sketch #64 reveal. This is the DT that I stress over the most. The gals on this DT are wicked talented and I want to keep up! This card was originally made for the Pink Persimmon week, but...I forgot that this sketch would not be revealed yet...so I had to hold it back.
The printed paper is Fancy Pants. You know, speaking of my hoard, I got this Fancy Pants kit from Happy Scrappin' Scrapbooking way back in the spring of 2008 when they asked me to guest DT for them. And I have made a bunch of projects with it, and I STILL have paper left over! I think I have paper fairies or gnomes....something!
The scroll stamp is Pink Persimmon - looks cool on the textured Bazzill. The other stamp is SU. I am pretty sure the felt flower is SU also. I edged all the paper with Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink. I love that stuff. The pads are really dry, so you get a nice, soft color. I got this whole set of inks at the San Diego Expo last summer - at a good price. Because, I cannot buy just ONE pad, but need the whole set!
Ok, that's all, 'cause I have a crop at my church tonight and I stress about packing...see comments about my hoard above... But I'm going to be making cards to be sent off to the Cards for Heroes folks so I must go to the crop this month! See you Sunday for a 365 Cards challenge!
what a fabbie card gloria! Great job using your stash'ola!

ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one who likes to hoard.... :P
ReplyDeleteI'm guilty guilty guilty too!! except I don't by 4 of everything. Maybe just 2..haha.. It's about 3 times more expensive to buy here in Malaysia! :(
