Here are the new dies I introduced:
Sku Name S5-102 Aster Flower Topper
MSRP: $24.99
DIE SIZES:
Flower Center: 1 3/8"
Aster Flowers:
1. 2 3/8"
1. 2 3/8"
2. 2 5/8"
3. 3"
MSRP: $19.99
DIE SIZES:
1. Flowers: 5/8 x 8"
2. Dots: 3/4 x 8"
3. Large Flowers: 1 x 8"
Tutorial:
1. Cut dark brown cardstock to 11 x 4 1/4 inches. Score at 5 1/2 inches.
2. Cut two light blue pieces of cardstock to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches.
3. Cut one dark brown piece of cardstock to 5 1/4 x 4 inches.
4. Attach one light blue piece of cardstock to card front.
5. Using repositionable tape, lightly affix the dark brown cardstock to the card front. Then use tape to position the S5-102 Aster Flower Topper die template #3 (#1 is the smallest), the largest aster flower, in the center of the card front. Do NOT fold the card, make sure you are only cutting through three layers.
6. Cut and emboss the stack. You may need to run the stack through the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® machine twice in order to cut through three layers, depending on the thickness of your cardstock.
7. Discard the three die cut flowers. You may keep them for a future project. Remove the top piece of dark brown cardstock and set the rest of the card aside.
8. Emboss the dark brown cardstock with the cut flower center with the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities™ EL-002 Regal embossing folder. Note: if you attempt to emboss your cardstock prior to cutting out your flower center, you will "smash" your embossing.
8. Emboss the dark brown cardstock with the cut flower center with the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities™ EL-002 Regal embossing folder. Note: if you attempt to emboss your cardstock prior to cutting out your flower center, you will "smash" your embossing.
9. Attach the embossed cardstock to the card front, lining up the flowers.
10. Attach the second light blue piece of cardstock to the inside of the card. You now have a window card!
11. Cut and emboss: S5-102 Aster Flower Topper die template #1 (the smallest aster flower) from dark blue cardstock; S5-102 Aster Flower Topper flower center from gold cardstock; E8-007 Classic Edges One scallop and E8-012 Decorative Inserts Four flower from pale blue cardstock; S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants ribbon #2 stamped sentiment from gold cardstock.
Spellbinders Edgeabilities® dies have intricate cuts and detailed embossing. If an area didn’t cut completely, add a paper or cardstock shim only to that section. Cut again, then emboss for a beautiful design!
12. Using the die templates as stencils, add blue and gold ink through the openings of the die templates onto the die cuts.
13. Assemble the flower by attaching a brad in the center, then glue to the INSIDE of the card so that it is visible through the hole in the front of the card.
14. Attach the sentiment to the bottom left edge of the card, folding the left side around the edge of the card.
15. Trim the border and attach to the top of the card. Wrap some baker's twine around the top of the card and tie a bow.
You now have a window card!
Here is another peek at S45-012 Aster Flower Topper and E8-012 Classic Decorative Inserts Four!
