I found this 24 x 10 inch wooden sled in the craft store over the summer and have been hoarding it for the perfect project!
I created a home decor piece by first painting the sled an antique white, then decorating it with Graphic 45 papers and Petaloo flowers.
I loved using unexpected combinations of blue, pink, red, purple, and green.
I added some Graphic 45 metal elements (keys, keyholes, tags), which I first painted white.
I added a bit of glitter with this bird and some "candy." A full supply list is at the end of the post.
This time of year is is easy to find small Christmas embellishments in the crafts stores. I look in the floral department (pine cones) and the "tiny Christmas tree" decor department. You can always find small scale items in both places.
The Graphic 45 metal keyhole, painted white, looks perfect with Petaloo flowers and stick pins!
I use a strong, white glue to add all of my embellishments to the project.
This project has just the perfect amount of glitz and vintage charm.
I love the focal point image, trimmed from the Graphic 45 paper.
I had a lot of fun creating this project. I hope you enjoyed looking. Leave a comment to be entered in the prize drawing! Don't forget to hop to the other blogs to see what everyone else made!
ETA: The ribbon on my sled is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. They are having a "Anything but a Card" Challenge right now! Go and enter and try to win some ribbon!
