At first I was like, whoa! Those are some bright colors! What do I have that is in that color palette?! But, you know I have a vast hoard of stuff, so...
I poked around in my stash and found this paper from Graphic 45 - Mother Goose. I never had a chance to work with the collection for Graphic 45. I think I had switched to special projects when this came out, and I was not assigned any projects using it. However, they did send me some in one of my many packages. {whew!}
At any rate, I found red, green, and yellow in this collection and decided to make a "welcome baby" card. I don't have much call for baby cards as my close friends and I are all pretty much past the baby having stage. But every now and then someone in my circle has a baby or becomes a grandma!
I tried to mix the color with white and cream, which is harder than it sounds! I am not sure I was very true to the inspiration photo, but I got all the colors in there! I used some really sweet flowers from my stash. I love flowers...they make me so happy!
I used some red ink to stamp a sentiment onto the postcard image. I love to find sentiment stamps in my stash that I can mix with pre-printed images. I don't always have time to color an image, so this works great!
And the inside. Sweet!
Make sure you go to the Color Throwdown blog to see what the DT has made. One of my besties, Melody, is on the Color Throwdown DT and her work is ALWAYS wonderful. Plus, my other bestie, Jacquie, (the queen of techniques and CAS cards) is the Guest Star Stamper for March! It is old home week! These two girls are part of my "special local group" of crafters. We are all set for our spring crafty retreat next week! Four days of nothin' but crafting, eating, talking, laughing, and....well...eating!
