Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #15 posts today!  Remember, you have two weeks to play in the new challenge, which closes September 14th at midnight PT.

Challenge #15 All the Pretty Flowers
This challenge is for all of you flower hoarders! Maybe you hoard pre-made flowers. Maybe you hoard flower punches or dies. Maybe you hoard flower stamps. "Dig" out those flowers and use them on your project!

It is no secret that I love flowers, or that I love to hoard them! I especially love to MAKE my own flowers! I love nothing more than making a flower cluster on a project! They are the #1 reason why my cards and projects get so lumpy!

Here is a cute Halloween card for you! This card is an odd size - 4 1/2 x 6 inches. I have been making more of this size lately. It is just that wee bit larger than a standard A2 size, giving me just a bit more room to "pile it on"!

Heartfelt Creations sent each of the design team members a set of flower stamps, and although I did not have the matching die template, I still made my own flowers! I stamped the Sun Kissed Fleur stamp set onto cream cardstock with  brown ink three times, to make sure I had enough of each size flower. I then fussy cut each flower by hand! {oh, yes, I did!} I inked each flower with yellow and orange ink before building each bloom.

Once I had the flowers inked, I used my embossing stylus to shape them prior to assembly. Once the flowers were all finished, I decided to jazz up the centers! I found the sparkly jack-o-lantern button in my stash! He's so cute! And check out that funny cat button! I wanted a spider to sit in the web, but I could not find one, so I used the cat instead!

All of the paper for the card is digital paper from Crafty Secrets! I printed each pattern at 8 x 8 inches onto cream cardstock. (I use an Epson Photo printer, which does not print at 12 x 12 inches, unfortunately.) The cute image is from the Crafty Secrets Vintage Halloween Image and Journal Notes pad. Simply adorable!

The light bulb that is peeking from the flowers is from Prima, but it is clear, making it a bit hard to see, so I glued some text paper to the back of it. So cool! If course I added a "button bow" and a tiny postage image!

Naturally, I had to decorate the inside! I used my "dripping goo" punch to create a few areas to write a message. The background paper is Crafty Secrets digital paper. It's so pretty! I have found a new love in digital papers! I never run out of a print, that's for sure!

I created the sentiment on my computer and cut it out with a die template.

I hope you have fun with this challenge! How can you not love a flower challenge! (If you want to try some of the great Halloween and Fall products, you can get THIS huge pack for $19.95, regularly priced at $72!)

  15. Your card is darling. The vintage images you find are so perfect. I love the colors. I am not surprised you bought the dies for the flowers after fussy cutting all those out! You crack me up.

  16. Gloria, this is just so beautiful! I love these flowers, and what's so bad about fussy cutting?! We've been spoiled by our dies and templates, haven't we? Hand cutting is good therapy. That's a cute little kitty, and far better than a spider. However, if you need a spider I have a hoard of those, too:)! This all goes together so well, and I adore your work here!
