Welcome to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous January 2016 Blog Hop! The Hoarders Crew is starting out the new year with some fantastic projects to share!
My blog is the first blog in the hop! After visiting me, hop over to Debbie Seyer's Blog next! For the full list of Bloggers, see the list at the end of this post! Keep an eye out for Bloggers who are giving away Blog Candy!
I packed up my Christmas decor over the weekend, because we are leaving on a January vacation and I wanted to get the house back to "normal" before leaving. Since I am out of holiday mode, I decided to create a springtime basket out of my hoard this month!
I love hot pink and aqua together, so this was a perfect combination! The rustic basket and burlap with the elegant lace and flowers...oh la la! I love to create fun gift packaging or "favors" or just fun storage. This little beauty is the prototype for an event I am attending in March. I hope to make one for each lady at the gathering! Filled with goodies, of course!
I de-hoarded these berry baskets that I purchased over a year ago. I saw them and just "had to have" them. The aqua color is so cute! I had plans for these last year, but never got around to doing anything with them. It's time to de-hoard them!
I wrapped the top of the basket with some strips of burlap and then topped that with some cream lace. I just hot glued everything! I should own up to the fact that I hoard burlap, too! I love burlap. It hits that note of country chic that I love!
I dug into my VAST flower hoard for some pink, cream, and aqua flowers. I gave the cream flowers a little spritz with Vanilla Breeze glimmer mist! I also added a twine bow. I think these colors together with the dark aqua basket are lovely!
These baskets are 4" x 4" x 2 3/4", and the perfect size for small goodies or storage for small craft items. I stacked some ephemera cards and little envelopes and such into my basket. I keep some baskets on my desk where I toss odds and ends as I craft, or I use them for temporary storage when I am working on a project. This basket has holes, so I would not use it for anything small, but...some candy bars would go nicely!
Make sure you visit all the ladies in the group. They have some AMAZING projects to share. A few of the gals may have Blog Candy to give away as well!
