Voyage Beneath the Sea is the latest in the Steampunk-themed papers from Graphic 45. My little heart leaped at the sight of cogs, gears, plaids, and yes, sea horses!
This vibrant collection is whimsical and fun! I created an 8" x 8" home decor card, perfect for framing. I create cards in this size using one sheet of 8" x 8" cardstock and one sheet of cardstock cut to 8" x 8 1/2", with a hinge at the top. Cards of this size are fun to give when the occasion is extra-special and become the gift itself!
I decorated the card with metal and chipboard gears, propellers, spigots, flowers, and leaping fish. Nothing says "I love you" quite like underwater steampunk! I even managed to sneak a tiny light bulb into the mix!
I love the thought of the pipe spewing gears and flowers and starfish! It is all very Jules Verne and 20,000 Leagues Beneath the Sea!
I mixed metal embellishments with "rusty" chipboard and laser cut cardstock!
Here is the inside of the card.
I love the shades of green, blue, and orange! Such wonderful ephemera cards, too!
Thanks for joining me in an undersea voyage!
